Porter Wagoner, RIP

I was sorry to hear that Porter Wagoner has passed on. He will be missed. I remember watching his TV Show when he was working with Dolly Parton. He gave her a break, but then she just kept getting more and more famous.

My condolances to the Wagoner family, and to all of Porter's fans.

Yeah, man, we're already living in a world without Johnny Cash or Buck Owens in it. Time is kicking out the foundations of country music and the structure is collapsing. Country music radio is unlistenable these days, CMT is unwatchable, record sales are in the sewer, and they can't seem to figure out why. Get on youtube and spend an evening watching black and whites of the passing generation if you want to see what's missing....

Like i was say I love  old country, well at least pre 70;s , a few songs were good in the 70;s but  the sound was fading away. Chances are if it's on an old time life  country cd it was good. I was a Country DJ for a time. But I was a  lover of old country. Hey Porter, Hey Porter ,..we will miss you.

I saw his Grand Ol Opry tribute on CMT last night. It was great. I like Patty Loveless, and the mid '90s artists the best. I tripped out on Marty Stuart's hair. That's a do!!
