Over the grapevine and down the 405
I've been whitewashed.
I wrote this late a few nights back.
Hello there.

I just posted my follow up (where I explain my personal view on spirituality) and it ran a long while.   Then it signed me out and I lost everything I wrote.  I'm not doing it again, so, you'll have to wait (I know you're all upset)

If you want to end racism, like many people scream that they do in this country, then why would you go to so many lengths to establish institutions that only acknowledge certain races?  Answer:  You dont want racism to end.   So many people use Racism as a political tool.  If there were absolutely no racism left in this country, many minority leaders would not know what to do.  I was listening to the radio today and I heard something that pissed me off  (beside the fact that I was hearing Sean Hannity's show):  A Black caller was talking about how great Bill Cosby is (which I agree) and opposing him was another Black caller who was upset that Bill Cosby goes to Black communities and addresses issues such as gang violence and single parenthood and whatnot.  He stated that by doing such,  it assumed all responsibility of drug abuse and gangs and single parents to the black community.    He went on to say that if Cosby cared, he would address white communities too.
WAKE THE [explicit] UP!  Bill Cosby is successful without the use of derogative terms or any sort of racially biased material, so that makes him a sellout to the white community?!
I'm tired of hearing the race card being pulled anytime a black man does well by means other than rap and drugs.  If you do well in our society legitimately, then you are conforming to the "white man", but if you fall into the thug life then thats the only life you know because the "white man" is keeping you down.  Bill Cosby has spoken some of the most profound truths that I have heard in a long time.  He brings his encouragement to the Black communities because he sees issues that need to be addressed.  A vast majority of racial issues stems from the cultural background conflicting with another persons cultural background.  Otherwise, a white guy rapping wouldnt be considered "Trying to act black!".  Right there is an established though by a community about what a race should do.  That is in no way aiming towards the ending of racial issues, its perpetuating it.
I feel like digging deeper into this but at the moment I am hungry and tired from work and hearing more than 30 minutes of talk radio today.

And I have equally as many gripes against the white community, but this issue was brought up today so my arguements and whatnot on this side of things are still at the front of my brain right now.

I hate people who preach about Jesus and God and post stupid shit about how "Only this many people will repost this, you wouldnt even read this if it said something about GOD!" and its supposed to make you reconsider everything about your life for 3 seconds before you continue down the same lifestyle that you always have and always will because doing something to change is much too inconvenient and its a lot easier just to SAY that you believe something in order to make those around you go "Wow, they are deep and think about things!" but really you are care nothing about any sort of spiritual growth outside of those 3 seconds of introspection which is about as real as Taco Bell is authentic mexican food.

Dont talk to me about Jesus if you are having an affair
Dont talk to me about Jesus if the night before you were plastered out of your mind
Dont talk to me about God if you spend more than 10 minutes a day on myspace

I appreciate you trying to enlighten me to the philosophies that are obviously working so well for you.

I do understand why people do such things, they need to do it for themselves.  They spout off about God because they need an external source to focus their energies on in order to get through shit, but in reality, they dont do anything that they pretend to anyways.
And also, I have been there and apart of that community and understand it much better than you probably do (that also goes for those who oppose the idea of God even though they've only recieved their information from the opinions of equally uneducated people).

I have however, found what I feel is the closest to truth I can find as of yet.

So I keep reading reviews in Alternative Press about new CDs and whatnot, and I've come to the conclusion that their staff sucks hard.  They have officially sold out to the main stream sucking-uppery that is taunting the life out of legitimate music fans.  I read one recently about Angels and Airwaves and it seems everyone is on Tom Delonge's nuts about it and how good it is. IT SUCKS.  I was a fan of Blink 182, yeah.  I never thought they were some breakthrough band that changed the face of music forever, but everyone is treating former guitar/vocalist Delonge like he's a man god of some sort.    Now I have just read a snippet review of the new Mars Volta album "Amputechture" and realize that these people know nothing of music and that as long as lyrics like "So cut my wrists and black my eyes" are soiling the airwaves, the masses will be brainwashed into thinking that it's somehow deep.

Really, I'm just throwing this out to get it moving.  I haven't read anything that sparks my interest in a way that calls for my input. That and I've been hella (yes hella) busy taking care of things.  So until I can think of something to complain about, suck it.
