So does anyone else see the irony in this anti-spanking madness.  True, spanking may not be the best form of punishment, but does that mean the goverment should tell us how to dicipline our children?  I do not have children yet, but when I get to that point in my life, I'd rather not have the government trying to tell me how to dicipline my child.  The irony, however, is that those promoting this anti-spanking bill are from the same creed of people who were against a parental notification on abortions.  "This is the first step in outlawing abortion altogether!" or "They are trying to take away women's rights!"  They care nothing about rights, they care about a pompous sense of self-satisfaction that they get from getting on their soap box and pretending to have a purpose for a while.  In the same way abortions are NOT birth control, the same applies that spanking is NOT child abuse.  Location and frequency.  Now, I do have my share of tiffs with a number of outspoken Republicans, those Faux Klingons!, but right now, the Democrats are pissing me off quite a bit.  And this is why I claim no party.  Tools.  It's not about one party favoring human rights over the other, its children babbling for attention and then shitting themselves.

I'm just tired of everyone feeling like they have such a noble cause or idea and then running with it like a pair of scissors.  We're stuck in a generation of psuedo-revolutionaries who read about Che Guevara, Malcolm X, and whatever white guy equivelant (Vin Diesel?  I dont know) and then assume they understand the same righteous indignation as their predecessor.  It is because we've been brought up without the strong structural foundation as those before us and now we've been swept away by this MTV, psuedo-philosophical generation that doesn't understand the true meaning of "struggle".  Now I can't say that I myself understand the scars of the past either, but I am able to understand the lacerations of our present.  They are being dug into our collective flesh everytime somebody hears "Does your chain hang low?" and thinks to themself that THIS is moving them forward.  Everytime somebody thinks that 'Anarchy' is going to leave us any better off than we are now.  Everytime somebody says "Fuck the Government!" and doesn't get out and vote.  Or rather, yells "Fuck the Corporations" and still buys themselves their cigarettes and alcohol.  Every time someone just 'says what they feel' under the first amendment and then criticizes another for their own applications.  Psuedo-revolutionaries.

So I just typed up a good page and a half (single spaced) commentary on our local FOX news sensationalized journalism that they are parading about all of a sudden and how eventually sex offenders will have nowhere to live and there needs to be better modification to the system.  But here we go, fucking laptop touchpad triggered a couple back clicks and thus deleted my writing.  Whatever, it wasn't that good anyway.  I'm holding down 19 units at BC this semester so I'm going to be swamped, hopefully not too bad though.

Anyone catch the Democratic Representative (or Senator, not sure) from Oregon.  He compared the Bush Administration to Klingons.  More than that, Faux Klingons.  Ladies and Gentelmen, we have no way out.

So the only date we could pull for our final show was March 17th @ the Dome.  Apparently thats St. Patricks day and Fishlips will be having a massive event.  So all of you should go to it, and then leave for and hour or so and watch us, and then party on back...  see, it works.  Anybody here gonna try and make it to this one?

So here is the official invite for everyone out there in Bakoland.

On Saturday, March 17th, Idle Revolution will be holding a special 2 hour performance at the Dome.

This show will conclude 2 years of amazing creativity and performances as Idle Revolution is offically splitting up.  We hope to have joining us for the evening Red Italy as well as special guests who will be jamming with us.  There will be more info soon and we hope to see many many faces there to help us go out with a great show.  Thanks to all who have supported us throughout our run.

I always tie myself up when I can't articulate myself appropriately, but I'm reading through "Winning the Race" right now by John McWhorter and his biggest gift to me is the phrase "Therapeutic Alienation".  Been trying to pinpoint it for 3 years now.  Hell yes!

I've been running into some issues with people who still behave as if they are in high school.  There is a ringleader who manipulates those in her presence to bend their thinking toward her ways.  Those who follow suit denounce these accusations and move as if they are thinking and forming opinions with no influence from the ringleader.  Oddly enough, they mock people who they've called "friends" depending on who they are around at the time.  You WILL be called on immature behaviors by them or anything they dont accept and you will be mocked because of such.  However, in the many cases that they may contradict themselves or they themselves act immature and foolish, it is never the same circumstance, you dont understand them or are close enough to do so, or, if all else fails, "So what?".  The trump card that leaves nothing else to be said because they've cancelled all other options.  A rhetorical "bankruptcy" if you will.  I will definately be adding more to this later.  My question is posed though:  How long after you graduate does the lingering immaturity still stain the mentalities of people?
