We are all gods. Whether we admit that level of control or not, we each have the ability to forge our own paths in life. That is, of course, until the other gods interfere. We are not gods of infinite ability. We are beings who each have our own allotted route to spin through in order to keep the larger order intact. We come with a prescribed arsenal of abilities. Living outside of those abilities is the limit to our divinity. We like to pretend otherwise, most of the time. We like to pretend that we have the ability to change anything and everything, when very few of us actually have that potential. The idea that we can do anything that we put our mind to is meant to motivate people to try and find their excellence, but not everyone has that amount of ability in them. There are those who are capable, and those people will show themselves. There are those people who are incapable and they will be forced into different avenues of life. Unfortunately there is nothing consistent that gives us an idea of who is who. But it does seem as though we all have some sort of pre-inclination toward something. Engaging ourselves even in areas where we live in doubt forces us to weed out what we can and cannot do. The idea that we all have a role to fill makes some people uncomfortable because it pigeonholes us into positions that are inaccurate, or, if accurate, unbearable to consider. But in the end, even if we push ourselves and fail, we still pushed ourselves, and sometimes that makes all the difference in the world. So long story short, I was required to stay up all night before going into the doctor's office. No worries. But during the twilight hours I was driving around town with my coworker who was helping me stay up. I get home at 4am this morning, watch the Daily Show that I had DVRd and then got up to go visit Starbucks to kill some more time. Unfortunately it is kind of hard to go anywhere when you are forced to clean shattered glass out of your car's back seat. Not to mention trying to clear all the wiring out from the space which parts of your stereo used to occupy. And as a musician, you have to understand the significance of losing over 120 cds. Whoever did this tried to go for my car battery too, but thanks to the set-up of it, they were forced to make off with only my neighbor's battery. They got both ouf our subs. I will never think to myself "I need something to keep me occupied and awake" again; silly universe. I at least got my window replaced. What a day. I finally have everything situated here at Bakotopia, so if anyone needs or wants to reach me for anything, feel free to at:
