The best part of waking up …

Well, who’s to say that I’m actually awake?  Regardless, I do have Foldgers in my cup.  Today is one of those snooze my alarm mornings.  The kind of morning where I kick my covers all over and beat my pillow.  I don’t care if my hair is a mess, it can be smoothed into a ponytail that I was even too lazy to pull completely through the holder so it’s a big messy loop.  I’m probably the only one that even notices the white deodorant smudge I can’t remove from the hem of my black shirt, and if anyone else does notice that, well, they are way too close to my ass for my comfort.

Slowpoke greeted me with a rousing “Buenos dias!”, thankfully I’d already swallowed a few gulps of office sludge.  I noticed the Gerbil is in a meeting with The Man.  Did I mention I suspect she is one of his flying monkeys?  She may act like flowers and rainbows on the outside, but I bet you anything that if you sliced her open it would be thick black goo.

I think I’ll rock and spin in my chair for a bit with another cup of coffee.  Only 5.5 more hours to go.  Good morning sunshines, it’s time to say “Hell – o”

I feel yah, girl. I had one of those, "Should I call in to work" type of mornings. Allergies are kicking my ASS and I didn't get any sleep last night. BUT as always... I figure if I'm gonna feel like shit, might as well get paid for it. So here I am! Gotta save those sick days for when my kids are sick anyways.

Positive way to look at it "if I'm gonna feel like shit, might as well get paid for it"  Currenly my stomach is about to devour my upper intestine, but my wonderful baby brother offered to bring me a frozen meal from my mom's freezer since he doesn't have anything better to do.  Gonna miss that kid when he goes off to school!

Here's news from the other side of the fence, where the grass certainly isn't any greener.  I'm stuck at home with my foot in a cast.  My right foot....yeah that's right, I can't even freakin' drive.  I'd give anything right now to be a corporate slave, but I bet that would wear off quickly.  But I dream of it.  Getting out of the house.  Anything would be better than sitting in the same position I was when my husband left for work and still be in the same position when he comes back from work.  I can't even get myself something to drink....or eat...cuz I can't get it and crutch to were I wanna go.  That leaves eating and drinking over the sink....less plates and glasses, I guess.
