Having watched and read the contents of several messages and blogs over the course of the last few months my " poet warrior"has been dancing in my brain(and my heart)and now my inner clock tells me the time has come for some NO B.S. straight forward observations.It is not my intent to offend or attack any individual or group of individuals ,regardless of gender,ethnicity,spiritual or religious persuasion or lack of same,regardless of politics,education,socio-economic status ET CETERA and especially regardless of whether or not you AGREE or DISAGREE with my thoughts...for in the end that is all I make manifest.....
My motivation in signing on to Bakotopia was to find some HONEST,talented and responsible musicians with whom to write,rehearse,record and THEN perform live....Part of this process was to entail PROMOTING the results locally.The art of creating and being a part of musical family FAR outweighs any considerations with regards to FAME,FORTUNE or HOW COOL YOU MAY OR MAY NOT THINK I AM.....Having said this,let me make it clear that I have always possessed a sense of confidence .....It is my belief that when the creative work is accomplished all else will fall in place AS IT IS MEANT TO BE........The body of work is my inspiration........
It has been my good fortune to find one individual with whom to work....We are on par with any of the wonderful talents in my musical history........For this I am truly grateful to Bakotopia.....We are in the process of recording as well as doing all the other things companion to THAT ......Therefore again I thank Bakotopia and all those whose vision and work made/make it possible.....I say this humbly without prejudice though I may not always approve of or agree with all content and/or policies......................................... .....
& nbsp; Having said all of the above,I have a question for ALL members of Bakotopia who choose to respond:Why is it that MORE OFTEN THAN NOT,participants of differing points of view,opinions or persuasions are unable to maintain an open,honest dialog without resorting to namecalling or PERSONAL ATTACKS directed at those who have differing positions......Some attempt to be more subtle in these machinations and often end their communications with the insipid,"Have a nice day".......Honestly folks......there is no reason to resort to the attack mode unless ofcourse that is the only thought,tactic or strategy you have remaining in your mental toolbox......I simply want to state here for all to see(that care to read this) such behavior makes me want to vomit.......and THANKFULLY I usually stay out of such exchanges........Please make an effort to consider that the individual you attack is a human being EQUAL TO YOU and perhaps with a modicum of self-control,that person could be another friend in the making and not JUST ANOTHER E_WORLD ADVERSARY...........Perhaps we should take an honest look at ourselves and THE REAL WORLD and see if there is not some way to make it a better place for everyone that does not involve interpersonal attacks and other such nastiness............................PEACE....... ....PEACE...........PEACE............Dizzy & nbsp; &n bsp; &nb sp; &nbs p; ; & nbsp; &n bsp; &nb sp; &nbs p; ; & nbsp; &n bsp; &nb sp; &nbs p; ; File under,"the more things change,the more they stay the same"....Circles open and circles close.There are no Blues like the Blues I have TODAY.......YET AGAIN THE SEARCH RENEWS FOR A DRUMMER WELL-VERSED IN MULTIPLE GENRES.....BRUSHES TO BRUISES ON THE CANS.........ALSO SEEKING BASSIST FACILE FROM BLUES TO R&B,REGGAE TO RAGAS........STAND-UP A HUGE PLUS.....TALENT,MOTIVATION,FLEXIBILITY AND A GOINK SENSE OF HUMOR SOUGHT IN CREATIVE ENSEMBLE PLAYERS.......ABSENCE OF EMOTIONAL BAGGAGE AND/OR SEVERE ALCOHOL OR DRUG ISSUES ARE PROBABLY MANDATORY PRECONDITIONS FOR SUCCESS......................DIZZY FINGERS IS ALSO INTERESTED IN ESTABLISHING A REGULAR RESIDENCY GIG IN BAKERSFIELD........PLEASE RESPOND HERE IF YOU HAVE OR WOULD BE INTERESTED IN DISCUSSING SUCH AN ARRANGEMENT..........THANK YOU..................................PEACE....... ...............DIZZY.... :)(:
