So my daughter Julie is 14 years old and quite the character. She is starting high school in a few weeks and I have to admit im kind of werid about it. Not in a bad way just...I dont know it was like yesterday I was dropping her off to start kindergarden. Where did the time go??? Its just my "omg my baby is growing up" feelings...*sigh*

Shes currently obsessed with watching 17 News - seems she has a crush on Kiyoshi!

Well we FINALLY had our reunion. The anticipation was there b ut I think it wasnt organized as well as it should have been. But what can you do. It felt like our group (theres like 6 or 7 groups of families all together) we were shunned or something. Ah so much to say but im trying to refrain cuz i would go off maybe another day. Overall it was cool hanging out with family and seeing people I havnt seen in forever. The food was meh...it was a potluck so what do you expect. It got really windy which to me was awesome. My brother, nephew and cousin drummed and sang some songs. It was nice. Here are the few pics I took with my phone Ill have other up soon. :) Next up is Standing Bear PowWow!!!!!

Its May which means its that time of the year where all us Natives get together for our family reunion.

My grandma was born on Tejon Reservation (before it became tejon ranch). She never really talked about it til a few years ago. We did some genealogy research with my grandma and found out we have a lot of relatives in the area that were also from "the rez" It was really interesting to see all the cousins we got overnight!

Anyways, every 3rd weekend in May we meet up at Tejon Ranch and have a family potluck/reunion thing which is a lot of fun. We didn’t go last year since our grandma passed away. This year we as a family decided to go.

I don’t know what it is but every time im at the Ranch (I still call it the rez cuz that’s what it is to our family) I have this weird feeling. I cant really explain what it is..maybe the connection I have to the place. my grandmas parents are still buried up there maybe that’s what it is.

Anyways this year its going to be our first time going since Nana died. Im looking toward to it.

You know what sucks? People that steal. I really do not understand why some feel the need to come into your yard and steal random stuff. We've been victims of such a few times in the past.

Someone broke into our garage and stole a stereo that didnt work, my moms shredder, i forgot what else. Random people will just come in the yard and take whatever. So far we've had our bbq grill stolen (we know chain it to the faucet haha), plants, sprinklers, a broken vaccum.

Then to top it all off while I was at home two guys went and stole my grandmas cans. I mean....seriously! Who the hell steals cans?

Stop ittttt! :(

So I am unemployed. Thats not a shock. Im out finding jobs left and right.

I recently went to apply for a job at ACS and (well to get rehired) and that didnt not work out. I got a really bad vibe from the supe that interviewed me. Soon as I shook her hand I had that feeling it wasnt going to work out.

I recently went for a telemarketing job. Yes...I want to get paid to get cussed out and hung up on. Hah. I got my rejection letter for that a few days ago.

Im not gonna let that slow me down tho. I will find something soon.

I just think its funny I couldnt even get the telemarketing job.

Le Sigh!

Soooooooooo as many of you know by now, the BPD has issued a press release stating that they will be targeting motorcycles for then next 30 days, with special officers devoted to it.

Well tonight at our new bike night spot, they made themselfs known.

In an effort to reduce accidents and give riders a safe place to stunt, The Rocket Shop offered us up a place at the Municiple airport. This turned out to be an awesome deal that had a bright future.

Until tonight..

When we arrived as the first ride went to make his pass on the strip, the BPD bike units came out and stopped him. They then came down the runway and started to harrass another rider.

In all they said that we are not welcome at the airport, and we are all tresspassing.

This comes after they spent the last 2 week sitting outside the fence watching us stunt in a controlled environment. And now crack down on us durring their "Target of motorcycles", which they feel is the way them to support national motorcycle awareness month.

GO BPD

Once again I am glad to live in the county and not city.

I might get a ticket for parking my bike sideways in my own driveway!

This is a battle that they are not going to like, motorcyclist are more organized than they think, and with the right organization we can beat them at their own game!

My daughters birthday is on April 8th. I was thinking of what to get her..shes not a kid anymore. Shes going to be 14 years old. I know she likes the band Chiodos so I figure ill take her to see them.

Normaly im in with whats new in music but the past few years ive just been under my 80s rock. Still! I could ask her...

I remember being 14 and wondering why my mom listens to some of the stuff she did. She mostly listened to Freddy Jackson, Luther Vandross and your typical 80s rnb woo you music. My mom didnt understand what I listened to. Ok ill confess...I was all about new kids on the block. Dont hate me.

My daughter and I are different. I took her to see Korn/Mudvayne and it was excellent. She likes the same stuff I do cept she likes OTHER bands I have no clue about. I have homework to do!

Btw not only did my daughter see Korn but my mom saw them too. We're are all on the same page finally. My mom even knows the words to Caress me Down by Sublime. I personaly think she just likes saying "mushroom tip"
