Leave In Love
Finally managed to upload my one-and-only song I'v ever recorded to some conclusion. Here's the information in case some of y'all care: Miles Johnson: Writer, producer, piano, vocals and keyboard (bass line) Percussion by the owner of Spectrum Studios, Ft. Lauderdale Accoustic and electric guitar by someone FAR more talented than I could ever be. Comments welcome- just know that this is not a passion nor something I even do anymore. It merely represents a time- oh, about 12 years ago- when I still had passion for doing something I loved. Now I just care about paying bills. So the score is: Life:1, Miles:0 Thanks for listening. 5 comments from 3 users

Because of the unfinished recording process- some of the lyrics might fall back too much behind the insturmentation. Here they are:
It's too late to see the country. I think it's time for me to go. And all the time to think I've wasted... I just thought you should know: That I think I found the answers when I opened my eyes. When I leave here I leave in love. It's too late for me to give you all the things I wanted to. And all the times that I said always became the thing I couldn't do. It's just like you said: Never say never. But it's the same thing in reverse. When we leave here let's leave in love. (Insturmental Break) It's to late. I guess I saw it coming. But I'm too weak to face the truth. And all this time wasn't just pretending when part of me is part of you. And I hope you know that it's not over... Not when I've opened my eyes. When we leave here let's leave in love. When we leave here let's leave in love. posted by

Thanks, twinkie. It strikes me as a pretty simple breaking up ballad now, but when I was writing it was more "current" I guess. Definately a weird trip to take since I really haven't heard it myself (lost the one-and-only disc) about 5 years ago. And even then it was 4-5 years old. Damn- I'm old!
