I have a cousin who lives in Australia.  Why I don't know. Well, I know why he is my cousin but not why he moved to Australia.   It is interesting though as evidenced by the picture I posted some time ago of him with a snake (See "Santa Barbara").  Now he sent a picture of koala bears in his backyard "gum trees".  Eucalyptus to us.  Fun anyway, mates.

I know I should be saying "awwwww how cute" but I don't know that I would think it's so cute if it was in my back yard. Have you seen the length of their nails? YIKES.. that could cause some serious damage.

Did you ever hear the story of Baketown and the monkey in her back yard? YOU HAVE TO READ IT.. Click here to read it! You just have to.

*warning... it's not for the weak of stomach. There is Miracle Whip involved in this story! (yeah, I know... ewwww!)

Man, that is a new one to me.  I remember the Mears gang,  used to see them challenge all comers, racers and spectators, at the Saturday night mosh pit called Bakersfield Speedway. (Still see Casey Mears racing and he actually won the big one last weekend at Lowe's in Concord-Charlotte)  Anyway, not only does this story involve Miracle Whip, but sweet pickles.  Yuch.  Double Yuch.  (Yes I remember the Bakersfield sign too, come play stay pay etc blah blah.  Hilarious.
Did I tell you about the time a monkey bit my finger?  Little guy, zoo in Seattle, finger through the bars (no glass in those days.)  Figure out the rest. Still have a scar   Zoo critters can be just a dangerous as wild I guess.  Once when Karin was about 18 months old, we went to the zoo in Tacoma. A big male lion looked us over across the moat, and then turned and peed straight out his back end and hit poor baby Karin. Twenty feet at least.   All she could say (she could talk?) was "hot hot, burnny burn."  Wow, her first speech.  Anyway, Koalas only eat leaves I am told.  Cute though.

Hey,

It was "Hot, hot, burnny burn!!"

Unless you too have been peed on by a lion, you can only guess at the physical and psychological scars endured by us "adult survivors of lion pee."

LOL!!!

Love you and special "howdy" to Twinkie.  {{hugs}}
