Interesting site and worth a read, but once you get into the whole religion thing, ya lose me...

Hermaphrodites.

Yes, it is an interesting site. But it begs the ultimate question: Who fucking cares?!

Who cares if a person is genetically predisposed or chooses to be gay? Isn't love for one person the same as love for another?

Who cares, so long as two people love, respect and treat each other well?

I personally hope the "cause" for homosexuality is never found.  On the one hand I can foresee a modern-day genocide; genetic cleansing by aborting the fetuses that are shown to have the genetic marker for being gay. On the other hand I can see an entire population being forced into Gay Rehab, stoned in the streets with no consequences to the murders or forced into Gay Ghettos.

The debate itself is divisive and ultimately will only yield a murderous generation of hate-mongers.

Oh, wait- we're pretty much already there.

love, intimacy intimacy and love?  you can have intimacy but not love,  you can love and not be intimate  hmmm imagine that.

Wow oh8 made a naughty word he he, OK that was just silly, sorry.

Some would say that sin made hermaphrodites.  I said some would. My name is not Some. Just throwin it out there to what the  reaction.

I don't think or know if this is part of the conversation:  But  My co- workers were talking earlier and I brought up the point of VD or Venereal disease came from man having sex with animals (sheep) Now that was definitely a man made disease!

Hermaphrodites and homosexuals have no relationship (no pun) whatever.  It is a physical thing.  Male and female are different physically (anatomically) for a reason.  Reproduction for one.  Hermaphrodites have both male and female genitalia (or parts thereof) on one anatomy.  They probably cannot f***themselves.

ps.  I am not a homophobe.  And I am familiar with PFLAG for several reasons, and relatives.

They are related when you include sexual orientation.  Where does that fall into play?  If someone can be born with both sexual organs and there is no denying that it is biological, then where does that put the potential for homosexuals ( who are not  a result of emotional trauma )?  Sexual orientation is still a factor in hermaphrodites.  It's not about hermaphrodites having sex with themselves, its about who they can have sex with without being considered sinful or gay.

This is a complicated issue because it is likely that both genetics and environment play a role.  This complicates the whole issue of choice and moral responsibility.  What may be a simple, straightforward (no pun intended) choice for one person, may still ultimately be a choice for another, but making the right choice may involve going through a confusing maze with no clear exit in sight.  So, it is okay to hold to a moral opinion on the matter, but, that moral opinion should not, in any way, contribute to a sense of self-righteousness, a judgmental attitude, or a predilection to condemn the person.
