Looks as if Hollywood has taken a hit on job outsourcing.  Were any major Oscar winners Americans?

What's that noise? sez Fave Lady.  Snore, snort sez I.  What noise?  There is a critter in the attic!  Naw, snore.  Will you listen?  skitter, skitter, skitter, gnaw, gnaw, scratch.  This got me up and got my attention.  Sure sounds like something.  And we listened and the dogs grrr'd.  Well we don't know.  Something sure as hell was running around in our attic but what and how?  Well, fave lady went to bed and I stood guard just in case something came down the chimney or through a crack.  Until 3am I listened.  The critter sounded as big as a beaver and just as busy, but it was slowing down, I thought.  So, I decided to go back to bed.  Came the morning and no noise.  Did it go away?  Worse yet, did it die up there?  We don't know, but tomorrow I'm going to get some expanding foam crack filler and fill some holes.  Maybe it got out, and we don't want it back.

Nascar season is starting and that is a thrill to many of us.  Nascar is the second most watched sport in the US and growing.  Interesting how the races start.  A massive crowd forms in the track seating.  A pastor gives a prerace prayer, for safety and thankfullness.  The national anthem is sung or played by a band, and a flyover is conducted by military aircraft.  In 1960 one driver even had stickers on his car campaigning for a presidential candidate.  During the prayer and national anthem, all stand, men remove their hats, and hands are placed over the hearts.  Then racing begins.   No one struts around bragging on how good they are after every lap (play in football?). After the race, the winning team is celebrated.  What a wonderful way to celebrate.

Compare this to some Hollywood events such as the Emmy Awards.  The mega rich and vain strut and posture.  They usually have disdain for our country and government.  After awards, some thank God but others, like Kathy Griffin, is quoted as saying "I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus.  Suck it Jesus" she said.

I prefer red-necked Americans thank you who are not ashamed to pray in public, and love our country.  God bless that America, and let the Hollywood types burn in Hell.

Surgery is over, toe is "fixed", no complications, and a nice snooze during surgery.  Back on my toes in no time.

I recently read where Mr Obama went to school for a couple of years at Occidental College in California.  During his time there (according to his own book), he smoked marijuana and used cocaine.  But, remember that was years ago, and, did he inhale?

Last Saturday Fave Lady and I boarded a tour bus for a trip to The Ronald Reagan Library down in Simi.  What a wonderful trip and a beautiful place.  If you admired President Reagan before, you would do more so after.  As we were leaving, color guards from all the services were organizing for a program to honor all holders of The Congressional Medal of Honor!  Lunch is under the AirForceOne Boeing 707.  There were two young ladies with us who are photo-journalists for The Californian.   They will be writing a story for the paper in a week or so.

Attention toe fans:  some may remember my tribulations with my toes.  Well it is time for my annual amputation.  Yes, I have another infected toe and will "go under the knife" next Wednesday.  I look forward to being given "the gas" for a nice trip to lala land.  This Saturday however, before we go, we are taking a bus tour to the "Ronald Reagan" library in Simi.  We will lunch under the wing of the old Air Force One, and see the rest of the area.   Looking forward to it.
