This picture came on the internet but is too sweet to pass by.  The second one is home grown.

We have snow in Kernville.  Sometimes it takes this to remind me why I really never wanted to move back to Montana.  It snowed about 10", heavy and wet.  It gets down your neck when you go out to shovel.  Our dish for TV was covered by snow-laded branches.  I remember also why I bought a good radio last year.  But it is beautiful, so no harm done.,

Our little Ella is seeming to make better progress that expected.  Still a long way to go, but now we must worry about her mother, Shannon.  The reality of Peg's death is setting in, and especially at this time of  year,  Shannon is devastated to be without her mother, with whom she had a special and close relationship.  It will be tough, and maybe it will require the sunshine of spring to help perk her up.  Pray for Shannon and Ella.  They both need it.

On a brighter note, I am fixing lamb shanks with lentils for dinner tonight.  Have a glass of wine, the fireplace is lighted, and we are comfy.

Hallelujah!  Our Great-granddaughter came home today!    She finally was released from the hospital, and got to come home.  The first thing she wanted to do was "color".   Her right arm and right eye don't work right due to the injury and will require extensive rehab. but she is home.  Of course she wanted her "gramma", but who knows what she remembers or is aware of regarding the accident.  But she is home, and only a few blocks from her Grandpa, so that is good, even though they had to deal with a blizzard.  Her healing is well on the way.
