It's been a while.

It has been a long while since I last posted something on here. I missed my blogging. Any who since my last post things have changed. I got a new job, turned 21, got a bad hair cut, and most importantly realized I need to get my stuff together. September is gonna be a good month for me. I have plans and the realization that I am now an adult, a real adult not just an 18 year old on a power trip,  has given me a new sense of being. I have started to re-evaluate how I live my life and how much my decision/actions truly affect other people. Besides plans on improving my life I also have plans to go out and enjoy my youth.

This Friday I plan on going to see the MIllionaires at the Dome since I missed them at Rockin' Roots. THe Kern County Fair, Burn the Witch , First Friday, and various shows are all on my list of events. I hope to see some of my fellow Bakotopians there. Now that I am 21 I can see the shows that before I would have missed because the are at a club or bar. Now to convince my friends and boyfriend to go with me :D

I need new music. LOTS of new music. If you have any suggestions please feel free to let me know. All genres, I don't care if they are local or if they already graced the cover of rolling stone or if they died fifty years ago. I love the music I have now but I want something new, something fresh, and most importantly something different.

More posts to come, and hopefully they'll come soon :D

Hey Gwen! I'm looking forward to meeting you at Burn the Witch!

BTW I feel yah about convincing your significant other or your friends to go to events that don't involve the word "BAR" or "CLUB" like the art shows, etc. That's why I am glad for the friends I've made through bakotopia.com that have joined me on my Twinkilicious field trips otherwise I would have showed up all lonesome. LOL

MOst definitely. Burn the Witch sounds like a lot of fun. Nah my friends are kinda wierd. they aren't bar/club rats (thank god) but we are such opposites i sometimes wonder how we became friends. my best friend and i usually do all the artsy stuff together but her scheduel is so hectic sometimes its hard to find someone to go with.

I have a couple of friends who are into artsy stuff but most of them like a good drink with some good music. PERIOD. They rarely get out though since we all have kids, husbands, jobs, etc.... So when they do get to go somewhere, they want to jampack with loads of FUN.. their kind of fun. Not the "HEY yeah, let's try something new" fun.
