Riding theLloyd Reading Railroad . A 90 Year Old Loves Bakotopia!

Lloyd Reading came DR. BLT's Buck-a-room -Recording Studio and played many of his classic  tunes and we filmed an hour long interview there about the old Black Board days in Bakersfield. Lloyd talked about the dust bowl days and when he fist met Buck Owens.

Lloyd loved the article about him in the Bakotopia Magazine, as you can see in the photo!

Lloyd especially liked the sexy cover photo of Bakersfield's CandiceHarris, aka "Dolly Dagger".

This picture, and the memories of last night's session in the BuckarooM it brought back just helped to inspire a new song in the works called,

My Hero, My Mentor, My Muse.

Also, Hank, the title of your blog post here, Ridin' the Lloyd Reading Railroad would make a great song title.  If you decide to use it as such, or already have, please keep me in mind as a co-writer.  It would be an honor.

Stay tuned, everyone.  Mark my words.  This is the man that will bridge the Bakersfield sound generation gap.  His music got my 3-year-old dancing last night, and so, that means in that one evening, he was busy building bridges to 2 generations.  What an honor to have this hero in my home!

Thanks, Hank, for helping to make it happen.
