WARNING TO UN SIGNED BANDS!
According to Radio Free Bakersfield
A "record company" that will remain nameless has been making the rounds of MySpace lately, pitching a compilation CD to a LOT of unsigned acts. Basically their pitch is you get a song on said CD for a $600 fee. I hear they're real smooth talkers. I have no way of proving or disproving that this is a good deal, but in the words of Jimmy "The Weasel" Fratianno, "if somebody offers you a get rich quick deal where YOU have to pay money, you're gonna get fucked." Use some common sense before you commit, umkay? Google 'em, talk to a lawyer, ask around. This has been a public service announcement from Radio Free Bamalama. This almost happened to me 2 weeks ago and to the Kookoonauts 2 years ago. 2 comments from 2 users

Hey there Hank...it also reminds me of an old saying: "If it sounds to good to be true it probably is!" Later...Stanley
