Everybody needs a quote ... 2nd try
AUGH! So my browser and Bakotopia just had a conflict and deleted everything I wrote. Anyway ... "Life is sink or swim and I'm excellent at treading water." ~Kindra Hill I'm putting that here and anywhere else I can before someone steals it from me. It all started at the beginning of this year when I bought a house. If you knew what I made each month you too would be shocked I was given a loan. Thank goodness for stated loans. Anyway my dad was happily surprised that I'd gone and bought a house on my own ... knowing perfectly well how much I make, he shook his head and laughed, "Girl, I love and admire how you have always just jumped in feet first, you're a real go-getter" or something fatherly like that. I smiled at him and said "Dad, it's sink or swim and I'm really good at treading water". That's pretty much the same answer I've given my boyfriend, my mother, my father again on occasions when they ask "How the hell do you do it?" I wonder myself, but somehow I manage, barely ... my house is my savings account. So tonight I was filling out one of those quizzes on MySpace. It was something like "2006 in a nutshell" and one of the questions was "What have you learned about yourself this year" ... and that is where my official quote was born. "Life is sink or swim and I'm excellent at treading water." ~Kindra Hill Use it if you want, but give me some freakin credit ;) 1 comments from 1 users

"Life is sink or swin and I'm excellent at treading water" ha! I love it! The thing you have to look forward to is you will continue to get a raise in earnings, but your mortgage will remain the same. Oh wait... then there is cost of living increases, and rising gas prices... never mind. I got my electric bill the other day. Usually this time of year it's about $50.00... so I was looking forward to a break, right? $246. aurgh. Son-ovah-freaken-biscuit-eater! ~Norma Takahashi
