Kindra79 - > My Life as a Blog -> I FOUND IGBY!!!!
I FOUND IGBY!!!!

Well, after my roommate let him out this morning at 10 AM.  She ran after him, which scared him, and he ran down Oleander Ave to Beale Park.  That is where she ran out of breath and lost sight of him.

I searched the neighborhood by foot and car from 10:30 AM handing out my business card to anyone on the street.  I stopped at 12:45 to post this and print out posters to tack up everywhere.

I began tacking the posters to telephone posts toward the park, as I was stapling one near the park a car passed me and then turned around.  The woman said "A little brown male Chihuahua?  I saw him on Chester Ave by the Veterinary Hospital.  He ran from me toward 3rd St"

So off I drove, dropped a poster at the Vet, the lady pulled up again and told me which way she had seen him run earlier.  So I then began posting signs on third, as I stapled up another 2 women pushing a stroller said, "Are you looking for a little tan chihuahua?  We saw him in front of that store over there and called here doggy doggy, but he ran"

Then the Vet called me and said the ladies inside had seen him go by again then run across Chester toward Kragen!  So I sped down third, crossed Chester to Kragen and as I was going across the street I saw him!  He was standing at the edge of the parking lot watching cars drive by.  I pulled into the parking lot yelling IGBY!  IGBY!  He was already running toward my car having seen me coming!

I opened my door and he jumped in and covered my face with kisses then looked out the window as we began driving home, I stopped at the Vet to introduce him to them, then removed the posters I'd put up along the way.

I guess we can call today "Igby's Great Adventure!"  He crossed 2 major streets and the doggy god must have been looking out for him and acting as his crossing gaurd.

You were probably more traumatized than Igby.. When Mz.Kittums went missing a few months back ( for FIVE days) i was pitiful.

Glad you tracked him down so quick!

He's a Q T !!

Thanks Don't Hate Me - I have had him for almost two years now and every day I still just can't help but look at him and exclaim "you are so fuckin cute!"  Yeah, I probably was ... but I think he was pretty scared too cause he keeps just chillin in my lap today.  :)

Dizzyfingers - tell Onyx "woof" for Igby!  God, I don't know what I'd of done if I didn't have him to curl up with me tonight - I don't think I'd be sleeping.  I didn't plan on stopping my search until I found him!

Awww that's cool isn't it funny how dog will go to a cross walk to cross almost nine times out of ten? My mom left my father  whe nI was 13 and she had the never to take my dog with her, we had had "Baby" hell since I was a baby, she was about 13,..so she took my dog. Some how the dog got out. My two dogs never left the yard the whole time we had them, gates open and all. Yet she left this new house. I suspect missing me and my sister.  Sadly we never found her, my mom didn't let my dad know where she was living until the dog came up missing. My sister and I search  the same area used mentioned, She had moved more  toward downtown. I was very hurt that my mom took my dog in the first place. Not to mention she broke my fahters heart. ok,..well haha that was a happy story. I'm very, very very,    VERY happy Igby is home!

It must be the season or something! Zoey took off like a bat out of hell when I opened the door the other day but I ran after her. funny thing is all these neighborhood kids ran out with me as they seen her run through their yards and between about twenty kids and myself, we finally caught the dirty rat. tee hee.

I'm glad you found Igby! Even though he wants to eat me alive I still think he's a cutie!
