Love Hate

One of life's little quirks is not being able to choose who you fall in love with.  Sadly, sometimes we fall in love with someone who loves us, but not enough ... you know, those, "But you're like a sibling to me" speeches.  Or you love each other but life just gets in the way - or an ocean.  Then we have to sit back and watch them love someone else.  Speaking from experience I know that is one of the most painful feelings in the world.

Twinkie's passion for a site called PostSecret has spread my direction, and I dutifully check it each week.  This week the secrets were all related to love and relationships.  There was a video made of many secrets that flashed before my eyes.  One postcard in particular stuck out, maybe because I've seen a similar illustration before by Jason Sho Green that for the life of me I can't find on his site (It was a gun with small hearts blasting from it), and also maybe because I've been there done that.

Love can be a gentle tormentor, she can make you her bitch, but just like how the cliche goes, "I'd rather have loved and lost than to have never loved at all."

That is very true Kindra, although my problem seems to be to getting them to know me well enough even before the "let's just be friends" stage.

Love is a cruel bitch, but for me, "like" is her evil twin sister that is more cruel.

Checked out PostSecret...there is some hilarious shit in there.  How do I access more??  Only got to first page.

=)

PostSecret only shows you one page a week ... it's such a tease!  New secrets will appear each Sunday - though they sell books of Secrets at the bookstore :)

Wrong? No way! It's soooo right! They get new secrets in all the time so they pick some and post them once a week. The rest they package up nice and neat in BOOKS which *hint *hint I own NONE but would love to have them all.

Kindra... sometimes we think we are in love and an ocean seperates us but really if the person had stuck around and we'd gotten to know each other better just like the rest of our relationships before and after them then we would have realized how NOT FOR US they ever were. It's easy to romantisize something that's not truly ours is all I'm saying. I think you know who I'm talking about.

Twinkie, you are very right about romanticizing something ... unfortunately sometimes a brain and a heart just don't think in sync.  :)
