Front page of the local section !!!! That was me and my LOVELY girls pulling that BEAUTIFUL CINDERELLA PUMPKIN COACH for Claudia on her wedding day !!!! She was so happy. She REALLY TRUELY felt like that Princess that she is, and has been dreaming about, since she was a very little girl. She started to cry, on the trip to the church, she was so happy. Sassy and Sally are the two Beautiful Perecheron Draft horses sporting their absolute gorgeous show harnesses, pulling the bride and groom on their first intimate ride, as husband and wife. Christmas season is over :( We at Riding Down Memory Lane, had a blast!! We met some wonderful families and couples and just individuals that came up to us somewhere on the route to enjoy the horses and just kick back and relax. Sittin back in the wagon just watching all the people walking and the cars zipping by..it is nice to just sit back and slow down and see the Christmassy sites and hear the sounds, that you wouldn't see or hear from a car. Sassy and Sally did a great job, and are sittin back relaxin for a month or two just being lazy dirty horses enjoying their time off. I have to get out there and excercise them though, can't let them get out of shape. Not good for them anymore than it is for us. We wanted to thank everyone that made it a wonderful and successful time for Bert, me,Karen and of course Sassy and Sally. Thanks to everyone at the Fox Theater for their cooperation in working with us. Thanks to the City of Bakersfield and the Bakersfield DBA for giving us a chance to serve our city during the Christmas season. If you missed the chance to enjoy us this year, maybe they will do it again next year, and you can come look us up. Now we are gearing up for the Wedding and Quinceanera season. Time to get the shiny sparkly show harnesses out. We were in the parade!!! Sassy and Sally had ssooo much fun pulling the DownTown Business Association group in our wagon. Tuesday pulled our Cinderella Pumpkin Coach with some beautiful girls flaunting their dresses, following behind the wagon. We had so much fun.. Thank you to all the smiling faces and waves and screams of approval at us. Can't wait till next year!!!
We Did it !!! People were all over us !! Our horses were HEROES last night at the fair. They pulled in Bakersfield's first and only , Cinderella Pumpkin Coach with the Bride of the My Fair Wedding give away. We looked great !!!! WE had a blast and I must say the fair staff were just awsome people to work with !!! The ladies with 'NOTABLE OCCASIONS" did a great job of decorating the carriage. It was difficult because of the wind that kicked up. But they were troopers and kept at it and they did it BEAUTIFULLY !!!!! Thanks so much girls. We got many many compliments on our Cinderella Package. Sassy and Sally are the talk of the town now!!!!....thanks Bakersfield..............MaryAnn
I'm having a 200 pound baby tonight or tomorrow night!!!! Can't wait. Been waiting for a week now. Gotta go make my bed in the barn next to my mare.....smiles...
