They are all the same
Lately I have been very disappointed with our elected officials (not that I have ever been thrilled with them). It saddens me to see such a great country headed in such a bad direction. The politicians running this country (both democrat and republican) all do the same thing. They make promises that we all know they can't keep. But for some reason we keep them in office.

I am a registered Republican. That's no secret to anyone that knows me. However, I must say that my party affiliation does not mean that I approve of what the guys I voted for are doing. I am not happy with our president or our governor. The only thing stopping me from registering as an independent, is my right to vote in the local primary elections.

I believe in what the Republican Party is suppose to stand for. Smaller government, more power to the people and taking responsibility for our own actions. I don't believe that taking guns out of my house will prevent criminals from killing (or any law abiding gun owner for that matter). I believe that tightening our borders and making the prisoners work the fields is the easiest solution to our border problem. Every day I go to work I see people who live off the system. They refuse to work, and we as tax payers just get to keep paying for it.

I lost count of the amount of times President Bush has promised to secure our borders. Look George, making new laws isn't going to do a damn thing if we aren't going to enforce the ones we already have.

Donny Youngblood stated during his campaign for Sheriff that he is a "strong" supporter for concealed carry permits. Of course, being the politician he is (if he's an elected official, he's a politician), he changed his story after taking the job. Now he states that we need a "valid reason" to carry. How about this Donny, I work for a living, I abide by the law, and I, as an American, have a right to protect myself.

I think its ridiculous that people actually believe Hillary Clinton when she says that she will bring socialized medicine to this country. She knows as well as I, that such a drastic change isn't going to happen. Nobody thinks about all the healthcare / insurance employees that would lose jobs. Hillary damn sure knows what such a thing would do. That's why she is going to promise and "sympathize" her way to the White House. But mark my words, she will never do a damn thing once she takes office (if she gets elected).

And for my last bitch. The war in Iraq. Whether we had a legit reason or not to go, it doesn't matter. We started this crap, now we need to end it.I think we need to let the military fight the war. NOT the politicians. First rule, NO CAMERAS. Its war, it sucks, but if we are going to "win" this disaster, we need to quit dicking around and just get it done. Oh yea, and I guarantee you that nobody is going to take the troops home any time soon. Whether it be a republican president or democrat. Their politicians, they have the part of their brain missing that controls honesty. America won its last war a long time ago. From this point on, we will continue to start fights, then back out when the general public starts getting outraged.

You can pretty much sum up everything I just talked about by breaking down the word "politics". Poly meaning "many", and tics.....well everyone knows what a tic is. A blood sucking parasite.

psst,  you know that whole border,..smoke screen;),..he wants a unified  north ameriican continent.  If he was concerned with terrorism? he would have slammed both borders and  not opened them and would have IR to check on it at night. silple solutions. But gee, hmmm he won't do it,.wonder why. Other motives it seems like huh?

with the ccw permit you have to show your life is in danger, I mean real danger like a threat of  a specific person or person's out to kill you.  You can put your  1911, or whatever out there in plain site  in your car,  as long as the  weapon is not in then  same place as the shells,.you know,..like the glove compartment.

Hmmm health care, I think it can work and the big insurance companies can still get their share,..you know it's the differnce between a ppo and hmo.

You can't prove a negitiave and you can't end this war ina  nice polite way that will make everyone happy,.I'm sorry lets face it,..almost a carbon copy of Viet Nam. Lets all rememeber the tired old saying: those that for get the past are doomed to repeat it. All wars are started by poltician's and ended by the same. The soilder  just  do what they are told by gernals, Sad but true. I rmemeber as a small child the Viet Nam war. I rmemeber cameras and  radio reports,.and back them it was raw and real. and gave the soilders perspective all the way up to the big liar himself,  Westmorland. He lied about how many soilder we lost, that was his job, ahem war that is. He didn't want to lose his job.  Two key points of interest. We won the last  war, you talking  hmmm WWII?  Korea , and Viet name basically the same war, differnt country. The french even had a enough sense to get out of VN. Second point of interst. We will continue to start wars and thenback out. If we had a back bone as a nation, we wouldn't allow the politician's to start wars that are not possible to win, or  not within our best interst. (morally and spiritually as a nation)

Don't claim to be and expert  EX meaning former  and SPURT well you know what that is;)

You just brought a tear to my eye. I feel the same way. I support the war and bush, but not bush and his immigration bull shit and Mexican truck crap. It makes me so angry so angry. I lean to Libertarian more than A republican [which i am registered as] the only diff is that i believe in federal law to an extent.

thank you for this blog

well this is kinda how I see it.  We need two parties as the constitution shows,.for checks and balance and  for freedom to choice. You can't conserve what you don't have, Sooo, you must get first, which is the liberty or freedom to, so thus is were liberal or liberty comes from i feel,..one hand washes the other, we need to work together   on both parts.  And a long time ago,..the words conservative and liberal were not catch phrases  for the two parties. it's just only recently that re publican's are supposedly conservative and Democrats liberal.  In the past  demos were just demos and  Republicans were just republicans. I'm sure there are liberal Republicans as there are  conservative demos. Personally I tend to go for the no vote sadly, i don't vote for either, they are all paid highly but   special interest. I like the libertarians they usually don't finger point and they do have solutions.  I think every one looks at them and thinks the same way i do about the American league  over the national league in baseball. I call them the K-mart league. Their colors are ugly and they just don't interest me. I think that's  how people about the Liberian  party. I come from a father who  was in the depression and he loved Roosevelt. he helped a lot of people, my father  was a demo and mainly too is that he was in the union (operators engineers for 40 years)  and they used to tell the guys WHO to vote for, and it was the demo party.  I think we start out as  kids  voting the way our parents did, then we get older and decide, you know maybe the other side might be a good too, and in then  end  you find the best PERSON, not party.

an1OK1joe:

Why does the government have to help you? JESUS CHRIST! why cant Individuals help others. Private Organizations donate to [like cancer, AIDS] research groups. Leave government stuff to Government, That's the problem. There is nothing wrong with helping people NOTHING AT ALL. I help people, my friends, my family and sometimes strangers. Its not the governments job to help you. Because they cant, they don't do a good job at it. LOOK AT THE DAMN DMV. not that i am saying they help people but do you wanna go to the Dr and it be ran like the DMV?

Small Government is not the case, why because of all the power these people are giving to the politicians, they aren't going to help you so stop thinking they will. Even if Universal health care is implement, you are going to get the crappiest care and it will take like a year before you are treated. good luck to you if that's what you want, but That's not what i want. Quit voting your rights away. Why should I have to do anything. Why should I have to make sure you are taken care of. Of course I do care BUT why should i have to. We don't have as many rights as our forefathers wanted us to have. Why cause people have voted them out. Such a nice cozy feeling when someone says "I wanna help them, because they cant help themselves" but when i come around and say "I don't think that's a great idea cause we cant afford it as a nation and it takes away from others and their children" i look bad. There are already programs to help them. there is already health care.

and just so you know my parents are Jehovah's witnesses they don't vote or don't really like the the united states. I'm 100% different. I love it here. its going down the toilet. We all see it.

well some poor old bastard that hasn't been to the docotor in years because he can't pay for the visit  sure would like the help. And since you said his name JESUS CHRIST would like to think since you live in the land of plenty and complain the most,  he would like to see us  help others too. You know that  part in the bible about helping your brother if he's fallen, or love him like yourself? Um he meant that.

Your right,..I stoped thinking  President Bush  was ever gonna help me do anything. So I don't beleive in the help of government.  But you do know WE are the government? I assure you if we collectiveley what Bush out? He would be impeached :) Yep I 'd say if i votied for Bush I'd vote my right away, 4th Am. rights and The Patriot Act helped go bye bye.

I don't expect anyone to "take care of me" I know I will be fine. With a postive attitude, eating healthy, exercise and trusting in God, I'll be fine. There are old timers been around with just that combo that can tell ya I'm right. I'm sorry your parents don't believe in the Trinity, but to each his own. I don't feel as though anything is going down the toilet unless it's willed for or a lack of caring.
