Thanks for writing, and please DO come see us at Trout's the next time you are in Bakersfield; I think you will be pleasantly surprised by how much things have changed yet again;  no fear of a rough crowd anymore...we've gone a long way to bring back the "comfortable night out" for the community...we've even PAINTED the exterior!

Let me know when you will be around and I will be sure to make it a point to meet you there...would love to meet you and your wife; I'll bet you have loads of stories, and I would really like to hear them!

 We loved Trout's.  Before my wife and I were married, in 1974, it was our favorite nite out.  We also went to  The Blackboard quite often.  We loved the music, and loved to scoot our boots.  In those days, there was never any fear of a "rough" crowd that might create a fuss.  (I do remember a ruckus or two at Tex's Barrelhouse.)  It's too bad that the atmosphere has changed in general.  If we come down and spend a night in Bako, we will definitely hit "Trout's".

 Trout's rocks!  Or maybe I should say it also "countrys"!  It's one of those rare places where they haven't left Kern County country music for dead. 

Well, to answer both of you in one comment (I am finalizing alot of details for the festival now, so one comment should work, eh?)

As for your comment, an1okie1joe, I seriously hope that Miss Trout Bait does not smell like trout, nore bait...hahaha!  Very cute comment - I hope you are planning to attend!  Sincerely...

And "poprocks"?  Thanks so much for the comment, I really think you will change your mind about Trout's as a place you "...would go" once you see what a great place it has become - and we would LOVE for you, and everyone who loves music, gorgeous girls,  custom cars,  who would like to meet some amazing people and have a really great time to come check out BAKOBILLY FEST on Saturday, definitely!
