Death in Apt. X?

A deathly stench was wafting from the apartment across from mine for the last three days.  It could have been that a bird dropped to it's demise from the telephone pole just in front of the porch.  Baby birds have found their way to the grassy area between apartments while learning to fly.  It could have also been that a stray cat had been attacked in one of the many nightly brawls going on around here, and decided to crawl onto the unsuspecting tenant's porch as it's life ended just under one of the chairs.  These were thoughts that came to mind.

As the smell festered, my mother in law mentioned that the daughter of the tenant may have just murdered her mother.  The woman is constantly yelling.  She complains excessively.  Especially, about her medications.  I have had to endure her rants about the kids playing too loud and too late around her apartment.  At 8:30 in the evening. She says, they are waking her daughter up who is sick with a headache.  Or, is it from staying out all night drinking with friends and coming home at six in the morning fumbling for her keys?

Long story short, we decided to peek over the patio gate to find that a bag of trash had been stored there.  It has been sitting there in the 100+ degree heat for 3 days, waiting for someone to carry it off to the dumpster.  Granted, we are not perfect.  My kids are just as rambunctious as the rest of the children who live here and can be pretty loud talking on the patio with their many friends, who by the way, are never ending with their knocking on our door through out the day.  All of the kids leave wrappers outside and spill soda at times.  Though, I do make a point to go out and clean up after everyone.

All in all, the crazy lady and her daughter are probably nice people who are trying to go about their own business.  Maybe not.
