As many of our customers now know, our retail location closed quite suddenly this week.
The reason is simple- our lease ran out.
I'd like to squelch one rumor floating around- Paladin has NOT been sold. We are still up and running, simply on other venues.
By no means are we out of the Bakersfield gaming picture! We are quickly building a shopping cart on our website where we will be able to offer better prices because we've cut our overhead! We will still offer local pickup for online/eBay purchases.
You'll likely see J and Billy at the Gaming Experience.

We encourage you to keep in touch!

I LOVE Squidoo!
I think I'm addicted! I just cannot stop creating lenses. And who would want to??
I have lenses about my catsmy eBay store, a lens about one of my favorite online time wasters,  a tribute lens I made when my favorite author Robert Jordan died...
The idea behind Squidoo is "everyone is an expert on something".

What are you an expert on?

On Sat 8/25 I went to EZ Lube on White Ln to have my oil changed. They did a pretty good job, fast. No complaints there.
I paid with my credit card. I watched the employee run the card through the CC machine, then she started entering something into the computer. I looked at the screen and realized she had typed in my CC #! I asked why she was doing that. She answered, "It's our policy". I told her I do not wish for them to have my CC # on file. Another employee began to argue, stating that they cannot access the number, that it is simply "sent to corporate". I responded that their intent for it doesn't matter to me, they do not need my CC #! After a bit more back and forth in which I loudly question the legality of such a practice, they do replace the # with x's. I could not believe it!
As I drove away, I wondered how many CC #s they must harvest from their customers every day.  People NEED to know that a business as innocuous as an oil change station may be helping themselves to a bit more information than you intend for them to...
