Watermarks Art Show at the 18th Street Art Gallery
May I say what a great night. There was music, art, people beaming with pride over what they had contributed to the Grand Re-Opening of the 18th Street Art Gallery. People talking, laughing, having a great time. That's what I say was what the real deal was at the this showing. I must say thanks to Jenn, Jen Raven & Denise & anybody else that helped put together a great evening. You should all pat yourselves on the back for a great evening. And being opened minded for all forms of art . Thanks. This was an exciting night for me, I've struggled for nearly 14 years to have my art recognized a a true form of art. Jenn and Jen Raven and th 18th Street Art Gallery gave me that very first step. I was excited to talk to people how I created my renderings (I think that's a good name for my pieces, since it's not a painting or a drawing, to get it to the level you want and the resolution(clarity) it has to be rendered. This takes time and alot of steps and versions of the rendered piece.) and just mill around with friendly great people. There was a vote for Viewer's Choice Best in Show. This was one by one of the other artists there, for the life of me I can't remember the piece's name or the artist, so someone respond to this and give credit where credit is due. It was a great piece. I was however confronted by Denise and Jenn who told me that I had taken 9 votes for all 4 of my renderings, which was the most votes for any one artist. They thought this was important enough to award Viewer's Choice Most Popular Artist. Thanks ladies. It made my night. So all and all it was a success. Can't wait till the next show. 0 comments from 0 users
