Car Trouble

While on the way to school my car suddenly lost a bit of its pull and the "check engine" light came on.  So I stopped and checked the engine.  Yep, that's an engine alright.  What's wrong with it?  All the belts are in tact and the fan is going.  The motor is making the car shake a lot more than normal while idling.  So what does that mean?  Hell if I know.  Do you?

Well it could be that I haven't changed the air filther in about 10,000 miles.  I keep meaning to, but I keep forgetting.  Would that be the problem here?

Yeah.  I change my oil frequently, but the place I go to doesn't always have the air filter I need.  I changed the filter and nada.  I guess I need to take it in.

If your car is running rough at idle and your check engine light is on it could be any of your exhaust related sensors that is bad, an EGR valve, or a vaccuum leak.

Check your spark plugs, too.

But more than likely it's your oxygen sensor. Good luck!
