I'm growing tired of having to defend myself, and my art.

I respect and openly embrace criticism - that is not the problem - but I believe that art should be celebrated too, at least for effort's sake, especially for something with so much passion behind it.

I cannot pretend that the condescending comments do not bother me, though none of the criticisms thus far have been directed towards me.  That is not the point; I feel responsible for what some have ultimately taken to be a failure, or worse, a joke.

 

This combination of pride and doubt is tiresome.
