Assassination

In a Maine convenience store, an Associated Press reporter saw a sign inviting customers to join a betting pool on when Obama might fall victim to an assassin. The sign solicited $1 entries into "The Osama Obama Shotgun Pool," saying the money would go to the person picking the date closest to when Obama was attacked. "Let's hope we have a winner," said the sign, since taken down.

What are your thoughts on the aforementioned?  Like, Duh!!!  What's interesting is that I think it crossed all of our minds...  Off with his head!  Is that really how the general concensus feels???

Certainly, the person who put up the sign saying, "let's hope we have a winner" should be arrested. That's inciting people to violence. And some folks here on Bakotopia should examine their comments and motivations. Some comments on this board are way over the top and should be removed-- such as those accusing the Clinton's of murder.

Yes, Lost HIlls, let's take those comments off, by all means,,,, forgot that you're the only one that should be speaking their mind... mea culpa :O

I didn't mean that we all thought about doing it...just meant...what would be in people's thoughts....  We are part of a country that is vast and varied...

It's s sad "sign" of the times,.. We say how  the MAC camp  acted about Obama. We see how the 110 percent Republicans want to   ahem"reform"  even further to the right,.off the chart and  heading in to fascism. I guess some men aren't men unless they think they can have a bigger penis than a black man (figuratively speaking) ,That would mean the black man would have to be dead,..what a  sick sad world we live in, I'm certain I don't belong here.

Unfortunately, we do live in a sick and sad world...but it doesn't mean that we have no hope.  Let's hope that change is what we receive...

We have the freedom to speak as we wish, even if it's distasteful...

What the country needs is unity, not backwards, sick jokes.

God bless our prez!

My job here is done!  Suffice it to say that I will take one for the team if it means that people will begin thinking....and become do-ers.

Yes,..lets think about the Presidents message of unity,.seems when we come together  we find those that don't want to. It's the cream of the crap,.it's always rises to the top too!

I saw that article. It just goes to show to all those people out there who still say racism no longer exists... well that article is proof that it DOES in fact exist.

It will always exist.  It's human nature, but more recently become a social issue.  We have this deluded idea that there are the haves or the have nots...better known as the narcisists who look down their noses at others...  Even still, we are all guilty of it in some form and to think this is an untrue statement is ludicrous.
