NO MORE WAL-MART!!!

Ugh, I have HAD it with Wal-Mart!!! I won't ever be shopping there again!!! We went to the White Ln store tonight. It was pretty busy, for a Wednesday. It was cool when we first walked in, but after we were there for a few minutes, it started getting hotter. Then, flies kept buzzing around my head. It was like shopping outside!! As we walked around, doing our pallet jack dodging, people kept getting in my way. No matter where I wanted to look, there was someone else right there too! Fine, let's just get what we came for and get out. We were almost done, and as we headed towards the front registers, I stopped to get some hair clips, and Mike and the kids kept going. I caught up with them just in time to see people cutting off my son, and my oldest daughter pushing the cart behind him. Someone made my son stop short, and my daughter ran into him, with the cart, knocking him down. I saw it about to happen, but couldn't get my mouth open fast enough. He doesn't have good balance as it is, and went down HARD, right on his face. I went to pick him up, and said loudly,

"Well, if everyone would watch where they are going, this wouldn't have happened!!"

I was soooooo pissed!!! But of course, no one else cared to even look back, or anything. I carry him to the front, and Mike took over the cart. We got in line at the first register we found, and my son's nose starts bleeding. So, I grab some tissue, and go to the front, to sit down. I ask the employee at the door, who could only see my son holding tissue on his nose,

"Do you have a first aid kit, with a cold pack, or can I can some ice or something for my son's nose?"

Her answer, as she looks everywhere but at me

"I think if you go over to McDonald's, they can give you a bag of ice."

Ugh, nevermind, I just went to sit down with him. Then as Mike is on his way through the door, the stupid alarm goes off. So, he has to go through all that crap with the lady at the door checking his reciept. We both agreed, THAT'S IT!!! We have said it before, but this time I mean it, NEVER AGAIN will we go to Wal-Mart. It's not only the customers, but the employees are just as bad. They walk right in front of you, block the paths between sections, and it takes you twice as long to get to where you want to be, cause you have to walk all the way from one end of the store to the other, just to get some freakin shampoo!!!

So, from now on, it's strictly Target for us. It's a nicer store, the people are nicer, and the snack bar is better anyway, hehe.

It's just an all-around better experience. I gave up Wal-mart once for about six months. It made me feel, somehow, victorious.

I am amazed they walk around wearing those vests about how the employees make the difference or whatever it is. One time I gave this passionate speech to one of the managers, about how I knew they didn't come to work to make people mad, that allt hey want to do is love the customers and do a good job, but the way they were doing didn't communicate that at all - I kept saying "I understand, all you want to do is do well..." and the poor woman was in tears, inspired by my lecture. It was kind of funny-sad.

I prefer shopping at Target over Wal-Mart whenever possible!  Target's prices are very competitive, every store I've been in is pretty darned clean, there is not such a crowded environment, and the employees are usually much nicer (there are not as many employees hanging around in the isles of Target as there are in Wal-Mart but I'd rather have quality over quantity any day!).

Hope your son's nose is feeling better.

Thanks for the support ladies! I have given it so many second chances, but last night was the absolute last straw!! We were going to go to Target last night, but I needed food for our rabbit, that Target doesn't carry. Well, Wal-Mart didnt' have it anyway!! The kids clothes are cuter at Target anyway, and I usually find what I want there too. Down with Wal-Mart!!!
