What is a Alcoholic?
The best definition of a Alcoholic that I have ever heard is'' It doesn't matter how much or how often you drink. What matters is WHAT HAPPENS to you when you drink. I would like to know what your definition of a Alcoholic is. 8 comments from 4 users

Really many alcholics really do want to stop drinking.. but they really can't without assistance. It not quite so simplistic as quite or not! It is a big struggle and unfortunately not many win the battle.. these people do have make the decision to work at being sober but at the same time others around them should be holding them up in prayer and not judge them.. we all have struggles of one kind or another.. posted by

I'M PRETTY judgmental when it comes to stuff like this, being because my family are either drug addicts and/or alcoholics and are horrible people and use these "addictions" as excuses and crutches to say whatever it is and do whatever it is they want to. "oh I'm sorry, oh i was drunk" who gives a crap, that's not my problem, so i say to them go Eff your self ruin your liver and don't talk to me. I don't like dealing with other peoples problems, drug addiction & being alcoholics are not diseases, I'll help u to a point but when i know you are just trying to get sympathy and not try to help yourself you can kiss my ass, i don't have any for you. I'm not an alcoholic cause i choose not to be. I don't believe you are one cause its runs in your family. that's bullsh*t. I wasn't going to say this but after Johns "like always dumb ass comments to me" i had to. I love when people help themselves, its great, but to those who don't.... i don't have time for you (i.e. my family)
i think AA is a great thing, it has helped a lot of people. But those celebs are ridiculous

I like this, it's kinda your response to Annie's, well I don't drink that often, or soemthing to that effect. It's true you don't have to drink often. I've been watching Celeb, rehab. It's interesting to see these people go through their own struggle. You really do hurt for these people. I would imagine you be come in a sense arroused by the whole aspect of drinking, From ordering ina bar, or going to get it ina liquor store, the whole essence of it. It's very, pardon the pun, intoxicating. Or headdy
