Cool,.I got to check everything out,..ahem most BY FOOT! haha that's only because I wanted to. I walked for 12 hours, from  roughly 3rd and Market to  the Wharf and then almost down to the Fine Arts Facility (the Dome)  and then back all the way up to 3rd and Market, I went thru Pacific Heights and  on up  a little ways past where I was staying, then off  to The Haight, Didn't go into Golden Gate Park last night, it would have been after Mid. Zombies tend to come out after dark anyway;)  I'll be positing pictures later;) It was my last Hooray I start work in the morning at 6:30 in Tehachapi.

I also saw something very scary disturbing, it was like hmmm 11 pm and I walked down Haight st going  past Ashbury,. it was this guy he was sitting on the sidewalk  sitting back near the shops and  leaning forward. He was   screaming in this deep evil voice just screaming, I walked past him and I go to the corner, then he let loose with some really  freaky sounds. It was a bizarre night. I am VERY convinced that guy was  demon possessed

Did you go see the Summer of Love anniversary concert in GG Park on Sunday?  I totally wanted to go, but had to work.  Poo!  Last time I went and saw a concert in GG Park was back in like 1991 - the Bill Graham Memorial Tribute.  Hippies in trees, hippies on stage, hippes on blankets, hippies spinning round and round, hash, grass, meth, and acid in copeous amounts (not me, I was maybe 11 or 12).

NO Kindra, :( I didn't know about it until last night, besides Sunday  I could gotten GG Park. but it would have been after 12MD. And I had already seen what  kinda scary people hang out after hours. Ah but they all did have flowers in their hair,..even the sweet old,..old  panhandlers. Those guys have character,..they have a smell,..but they have character!. I went yesterday around noon before I left SF. I had never been to the park before. I wouldn't have known where to go, But i have a damn good Idea of the lay out now,.i went to all the touristy places Ghardelli Square,Union Square, The Presdio, Cheese Cake Factory, etc. Up and down Cole St. (Manson lived there at one time)

Walking around there is awesome!  I know exactly where you were..  Plus the Height is awesome.  Did you go down Broadway by Coit Tower at night??? snicker  GG park is fantastic for concerts and movies in the park.   The Height at night can be disturbing but fun to watch people.  Did you get over to North Beach at all? or over by the Zoo?  There are some great places to go over in China Town.

I freak'n went to the Castro district at night by myself ! haha i was brave, well hell  right damn in front of  Fort Mason the drunk bastard wanted to start a fight with me and every guy that went by,.he kept saying,..get out of here,.I'm not kidding man I'm not kidding,..He ran into me as I was trying to read the plaque and it really pissed me off!,..I looked up at him like ,.damn you are a moron, and he said don't laugh  man,.I'm serious,..get out of here,..I  laughed and walked off,.. and turned back and he  said it again and I kept laughing! That was when I went though the Heights to get back to Market and 3rd damn my feet were hurting I walked all damn day! I didn't make China town!!!! grrr and I  didn't make the zoo either,...from the route I took was Divisadero or hmm I can't remember a st that paralleled it I think(the get back to the Westin on 3rd, Over all it was  a great rip,..although since the  80 was closed I had to double back to San Raphael  and go over the Golden Gate. I had to pay the toll so I went to Saucelito to do that (got change there) damn near hit a Bicyclist, who promptly yelled at me,..that's when the trip wasn't fun,..that' of course was when I first hit town. after that it was fun.

That's right I forgot that the Bay Bridge was closed all weekend... haha... my son goes on his interview tomorrow in Oakland.   I am so not ready for that one.  My baby is going to be moving to the Bay Area... cool now I will have a place to crash when I go up there.  I  have to think of it that way otherwise I will start to cringe about having the EMPTY Nest issue.  Which I swear I would say...   But it souned like you had a great time.  Who can't up there!   So did you take any photos?

I did take picture just haven't found time to add them,..they are already on the puter, Ha first time I went to Oakland I was looking for my Nieces apartment. Her ex  was in the Coast Guard at the time ans she was newly married then. she was only 18. They lived in San Leandro.  I took a wrong turn ended up in Oakland, on Martin Luther King Blvd, once again in the even ( you know dark?)  I found a telephone booth (it was  17 years a go no cell phones then) The booth  smelled like urine and had busted out glass. I realized then I might not be in the best of neighborhoods.  I called my Niece she told me how to get there, Then alter went to where I was going in the first  Place, KSFO/KYA to see my friend Paula Kelly. She used to do the local ski reports for us back down here (she  obviously would phone then in). So i got to where i would come up there every other weekend. I never actually  went on the sight seeing stuff  until this last trip. It was nice to finally see my favorite city.

7th & Wood in Oakland was my first trip to Oakland and it must have been right where you were... LOL  Ya... nothing like coming from Bakersfield up to Oakland years ago and bam... in the heart of Oakland.  Now don't get me wrong Oakland does have some great areas but this was not it.  In fact when I lived up there it had the highest murder per capita in the country.  Yah... you know the type of intersections that you just don't stop at red lights.

Well you can't dispute the fact that I'm white and  I was ina  predominalty black neighborhood. But you know the same can be said of  my neighborhood, I don't freak out when there are people of other ethic back grounds  in my area. I guess if it's an opressed area that could cause people in general to be  upset though.
