Bakersfield Rollergirls vs Smog City Roller Grrls ***UPDATED w/pix***
Bako brought back the W from Fresno with a final score of 119-109! As the score indicates it was a nail biter & went a little bit like this: after the first period Bako was up 39-37, after the second we were up 77-72, and when we left the score was 117-102 (the 119-109 came from a score update sometime later).
The Bako girls played a really hard game- I'm sure much to the surprise of Fresno who seemed to have underestimated us. We endured booing throughout the entire game (I'm glad Bako isn't rude like that!!), and the reffing left a lot to be desired (way to go BRG for being the only ones in the penalty box!! you should have had some company)... but I guess that is to be expected when playing out of town.
Either way the BRG played a really awesome game and had a ton of fun, the SCRG were very hospitable, and we can't wait to host them here in Bako!
