Notice to all bands in Bakersfield

I have caught wind that a certain cover band in Bakersfield has decided that since they can't get gigs on their reputation or talent, they will go out and "under bid" bands for shows. I won't mention names but these guys have a following and have been out there long enough to know better. You don't do that to your fellow musicians. Getting gigs in this town is tough enough in this economy without screwing it up for others. And to the venue that did this. you are not supporting the locals music scene by pulling this crap.
Most bands in this town support each other in any way they can whether it is attending shows or helping out with booking, certainly not stealing gigs.  If I hear of this band doing this again or any other band doing this, I will make it public and shun the venue and the band.
