RIP bud walston...the mint wont be the same
this morning i found out that bud has died. he has owned the mint bar since the 50's. there has been so many personalities pass through his doors and so many stories generated there (and retold)  if you knew bud...you knew a wonderful man. i will miss him greatly. RIP

I remember The Mint from the days when my step-grandparents Harry and Eleanor operated Binn's Plumbing on 19th street......Man ....the stuff you could find in the pawnshops ..........rock and roll dreams...Tele's and Strats in droves ....before the prices went up in the late 60's...........R.I.P. Old Warrior.....the next round is on the house..........Bud and Slim.....WHEW....

Yeah, there were 100 dollar guitars in those pawn shops that would be worth ten thousand today...

Didn't know Bud, but knew the bar. Wherever he is, I hope he's shining like a ten thousand dollar guitar.
