safe Sounds rocked P Ville, Visalia This Wednesday!
Ummm...What up Bakotopians! We had a great show last Saturday at The Screaming Moose in Porterville. New music, plenty of fans and a really good venue so I suggest any band or artist to check it out because Porterville did support and there was an overall good vibe. Check the pics (horrible quality- my nokia apologizes).
On a side not, we witnessed one of the the wierdest sounding and looking "rap" duo by the name of Letha Lungs. Peep their music and I dare you to try and figure out what the hell these dudes are saying: http://www.myspace.com/leth...
Bako emcee Strike III also performed and he is dope so check him out:

2 Shows in a week? Damn Safe Sounds is back!

This brings back memories. I recorded my first rap song in Porterville. It was about Vanilla Ice, and it was called Meltin' Down the Ice. I also did a photo shoot for the single at a Porterville ice company, where these local models were on all fours with hands and knees perched onto blocks of ice. It was all very hillarious. I was living in Visalia at the time. Apparently, one of the guys who rapped with me, called MC Padlock, ultimately became very successful as a rap artist. I'll have to look him up one of these days. I'm glad you guys rocked the mic in Porterville and Visalia. They need good talent like you guys to put a little life into these small towns. BTW, I want to sit down with you guys, along with a local country artist or two to do an interview involving whether or not you see Bakersfield as potentially furtile ground for a "hick" hop scene. It would be featured in a blog series of mine I call What Up, Cowboy? I would post the interview here, at Bakersfield.com and over at my own Bakersfield Sound Underground site. If you're interested, have your people call my people :)
