The Heart of Homer Joy: My pre-surgery interview with "The Streets of Bakersfield" Songwriter
It's now nearly old news that Homer Joy has a new heart. I want to wish one of Bakersfield's most famous songwriter's a speedy and full recovery. Let's all keep him in our thoughts and prayers. For anyone who may be unfamiliar with him, he wrote, Streets of Bakersfield, a song covered by Buck Owens and Dwight Yoaham that hit the top of the country charts and yielded a Grammy Award for the duo.
