Tired of singing the Same Old Lang Syne?: Spread some New Year Cheer with this new Dr BLTune
That's right.  Ring out the old, bring on the new.  If you're scheduled for a New Years Eve gig, and you'd like to compliment the old songs with something brand new for the New Year, try playing this brand new Dr BLTune called Spread Some New Year Cheer.

Or if you're hooking up with friends and/or family for a New Year's bash and want to sing something before Same Old Lang Syne, try this one.

The music is quite simple.  If you'd like to spread the song around a club or two, shoot me an email and I'll shoot you the chords and the full song arrangement.  BTW, I want thank Mr. Patrick Jarret for backing me up with the harmony on this new recording.  Walter Stormont's handling rhythm and it's Jerry Rothberg on the drums and sax.

Thanks, all of you, for sharing your talents on this song.

Here are the lyrics, cats!:

Spread some New Year Cheer

words and music by Dr BLT copyright 2007

C'mon everybody
spread some New Year noise
play your drums and guitars
all your New Year toys

C'mon
spread some New Year Cheer
Spread some New Year Cheer

Christmas was so special
what a Christmas Day
Now it's time for New Year
Time for New Year Cheer

spread some New Year Cheer
Spread some New Year Cheer

I don't care how rough it was
it all was so last year
cowboy up and celebrate with me
I don't care how rough it was
it all was, oh, last year
spread some Christmas cheer

make some resolutions
make them meant to last
let's not fear the New Year
let's all have a blast

spread some New Year cheer
spread some New Year cheer
spread some yeah
spread some New Year cheer
