What Part of Right-wing Don't You Understand? Linda Ronstadt's new attacks on Bush
Back in 2004, Linda Ronstadt was shown the back door of a Las Vegas casino after uttering words of praise for Michael Moore and his movie, Fahrenheit 9/11, the movie was later parodied in this song:FahrenHYPE 9/11words and music by Dr. BLT (c)2006http://www.drblt.net/music/... and then criticized in a DVD of the same title by Dick Morris. Recently she has renewed her campaign against Bush, calling him an "idiot" and defending the Dixie Chicks for their history of publically ridiculing him. The jury is still out on whether or not these two songs and others from my Right-wingers Need Love Too CD are "for real" or whether I'm making fun of conservatives. I just write the stuff. I leave it to the public to decide. I will say that calling anybody an idiot tends to absolve them of responsibility for their actions. I will say that intelligence is a complex phenomenon and that even psychologists like myself, who use intelligence tests have never been able to adequately define or measure intelligence. But right now, I'm more interested in your views. Should pop and rock stars, has-beens and otherwise, who rant publically on political issues be taken seriously? How do you feel about Linda Ronstadt's latest comments on the president? Is Bush an idiot? In the game of BLOG and ROLL, you play and central and "instrumental" role. So let's here what you have to say.

Everyone has an opinion. It's America. Some voices are just louder than others... It's up to individuals on whether they agree or not...

I think it's weird how Greenday and Eminem, etc. etc. can do the same thing and nobody cares. They don't get kicked out of venues and their CD's don't get thrown out by fans that don't agree. Other than that, I have no opinion either way. If I like your music I'm going to listen to it regardless of what political preferences you have or if you prefer swiss over cheddar.  Well, at least, for the most part. There may be a few exceptions.

Bush does appear slightly idiotic.. from my mild understanding of his utterances and policies (Abstinance only anyone?).  I hate it when the uninformed try to get it on "activism".  They jump on the word to feel noble.  "I Hate Bush!"  ::Cheers from thousands of people that hate bush as well::  Thats cool if you know why you hate him, but if I were to ask anyone they would give me some pre-written excuse that was handed to them from some equally-uninformed douche.  The more I learn about him, the more I dont like him, but I've reserved judgement and I merely watch what happens now.  Unfortunately for every idiot conservative who gets media attention because they are louder, there is an equally idiotic liberal with the same air time.  Its just a matter of what kind of hallow individuals they are appealing to.   One thing on the conservative issue though:  It seems a lot of them complain over the criticisms they receive and that the christians are being unfairly targeted in a lot of things.  BS.   Thats all.

I appreciate your perspective, even though I don't agree with everything you've said.
