American Blues: a new song is born in the BuckarooM: by Hank Ray and Dr BLT

Hank sent me these lyrics last night.  I put music to it today.  We'll try to perform the song tomorrow at the patio show at Starbucks, but if anybody planning on attending wants to learn us, it would help us to follow along.

From 1776 and some time before

America sometimes had to go a war

born out of a wild wilderness frontier

she got stronger and larger  by every new year

America has sure paid her dues

-even America gets down from with blues

the civil war came to test what’s' wrong and what’s 'right

America blood ran red for black and for white

Native Americans stood alone with their pride

the gold rush came and pushed them aside.

-America has sure paid her dues

-even America gets down from with blues

evils came with the Japanese sword

American came back armed by the lord

911 an was an attack on her soil

a split America - some are still loyal

-America has sure paid her dues

-even America gets down from with blues
