Spooky........I was there........in 1966 i saw Brian Jones of the Stones  walking down 17th street behind the Hill House smoking a joint......very near The Disco.....Just before they tore up the Civic Auditorium.Remember Augie Moreno or The Spats or my cousin's band The Centaurs???..........Ancient pop culture...Thanks for the reminder.........

there used to be a club right across the street from Bill Lee's that was called the Horoscope used to go there in the 68 saw Canned Heat.  I think that is 18th. is this the same place

Mandoman, I have went to Bill Lee's  since I was a child! Do you realize they have had the same cooks there for at least 47 years? Sammy at Bill Lee's asked me if the cooking there taste any differnt then when I was a kid I said no. She tells me they have had the same cooks there for at least that long! I'm sure I i've seen the Horoscope a million times when I was a kid i'm sure. in 1968 I was only 7 but I was a lover of rock and roll. Canned Heat must have been incredible. And yes  it's at 1203 18th street (Bill Lee's)
