Whats a "Low-rider Lifestyle" ??? i didn't know owning a certain type of car brings you into a lifestyle. I have a PT Cruiser, is there a PT cruiser lifestyle? also i didn't know there was such thing as a low rider community. lol damn I'm learning a lot today posted by

OH Annie... boy do you have a lot to learn. The car club community is a lifestyle on it's own.. from camping days at a time in 100 degree temps just to check out the car shows, to car show meetings, car show parties, fundraisers, etc. It's definitely a lifestyle for those that stay actively involved. Now Lowriders.... that's a whole other lifestyle aside from your typical car show. Did you read the article above? There's another one I think you'll enjoy HERE posted by

(BTW) I am not a car show or lowrider person. I just attend them once in a while. But my coworker is which is how i know how involved they are and it pretty much is a whole lifestyle thing. posted by

I actually don't like lowriders or the lifestyle. I just enjoyed taking pictures of the event. I can appreciate the craftsmanship some show in the cars, but yeah, mostly its a thumbs down for me personally. posted by

JerSooz Well the Lowrider Nationals was an event to see contrary to the Short Blast about the "Incident at the Show" on the News and Yeah the Glaring Heat ... Let's say all the Beautiful Lowrider Rides were exactly that Eye Candy and awe for the Car Enthuisist that only a Lowrider evokes talking a Lot of Money put into even the not so Beautiful The Lowrider Low and Slow Cruising style is just that ! Slow Down take it Easy! it also is a way to show others how creative if let your mind go to the dream machine it can become Let's also say the Low Rider Nationals brought in a lot of LA Southern Cal Holister San Diego as well as the Bay Area here and if don't think was a Event to be seen at then Should have seen all the New Clothes Hair Cuts Hair Styles and let's say the Ladies were there to be seen as well as Lowrider Cars that traveled a distance even in these Hard Economic times as far as Gas Prices go Next Year as the Promoters are also saying Let's make this event even Bigger and Leave the Anger at Home the Lowrider National Event is Yeah Represent as in Represent Respect as to Everybody this is also a Family event were a lot of Kids Teens and Young Adults that don't need to Witness ... The what Perceived by some Payback ... as said Leave it at Home! ... Bakersfield is a Tolerant Town with Great People also with a Great Law Enforcement Backing ... so don't take it as a Place to merely Shock or Show Your Ignorance by Prejudical remarks The Lowrider Community is Everybody with a Common Interest that being the Lowrider ... It is a Brotherhood and Sisterhood that Crosses all Lines of Race Creed and Color plus Nationality so let's treat it as should truly be We're Family whether Owner Fan or Lover of Lowriders let's at Least 1 Day a Year maybe more if can be arranged treat each other with Respect ... Yeah Represent the Positive! BTW Myself My Wife and Step Daughter had a Great Time we never saw the Line to Cross for Disrespect all We saw was Great People Great Cars and the Jump Contest was the Best everybody helping each other and Cheering on who ever was on the Pad at the Time ... Yeah learned a lot about Single Pump and Double Pump Jumps ... let's say was No Line being Drawn on who was the Best because it was Pride in just being in the Competition to the People we saw with Bragging Rights to those who Jumped the Highest Lowrider Nationals 2008 from our perspective was a Fun Filled Day Jer&Sooz BTW we'll try to get some great Pics on our ChicaLowrider.com website we only took like 300 so the best 25 will go into rotation on the site we're just glad we're able to help in the Community and will hopefully God willing and the Creeks don't rise be at the 2009 Lowrider Nationals Bakersfield has a true winner here ... So Wake up and Smell the Coffee as they say! Thanks to All the Sponsors Mas LowriderNationals Bakotopia and all the Others especially those representing the Latino Chicano and Mexican Community who the Lowrider History by records began ... May Others Slow Down! and Learn to Respect what God has given to All of Us
