So here is the official invite for everyone out there in Bakoland.  On Saturday, March 17th, Idle Revolution will be holding a special 2 hour performance at the Dome.  This show will conclude 2 years of amazing creativity and performances as Idle Revolution is offically splitting up.  We hope to have joining us for the evening Red Italy as well as special guests who will be jamming with us.  There will be more info soon and we hope to see many many faces there to help us go out with a great show.  Thanks to all who have supported us throughout our run.

So, next year is going to probably be relatively slow to begin with.  We are all going to be taking on a difficult semester at school so the majority of our shows will be by request only.  Having said that, we are playing two shows at the beginning of the month, January 2nd and 6th. 

January 2nd @ the Dome   7:30 $8 (get them from us for only $6)

January 6th @ Silverfox Bar  9  $ dont know yet.

As far as it looks right now, for those only familiar with our lame recordings online, you're in for a treat with a number of new songs.  For those who have seen us a few times, there will also be new songs.  Very different but very exciting.  So This is a personal invite to everyone out here in Bakotopia to come check out one of these events, and if you're not sure, ask Matt, he'll let you know whats up!  Peace!

 

So just until we get some new recordings (in the process), here's a low quality clip from a show at BC.  Its a song called "The Bull" and if you could here the bass it would really bring out the songs eyes.  So yeah, if you want to actually get the feel for what we're like, we've got 3 shows coming up.  One on Saturday at Jerry's Pizza, one on January 2nd at the Dome (want to buy a ticket from us?) and then a third at Silverfox Bar on January 6th.  The last two will probably be premiering new songs... just FYI :)

So dont forget about our show at the Dome tonight.  We're gonna be tied up with some other things for a while so you dont want to miss this one.  We're playing with As Tall As Lions who are equally as awesome.  Very Dredg meets Coldplay.  But yeah... doors at 7.. show is $8  hope to see some people there.  There may even be some free stickers, which I know everyone is dying for.

Hows it going?  I'm doing fine, thanks for asking.  So I've decided to tell you all a little about what I'm doing here.  I've decided to post something from the band account, seeing as how I usually only do things from my personal one.  Anywho... I thought I'd open things up to some conversation so tell me, how are YOU doing?

We're playing what will be an awesome show on November 11th at the Dome.  We are playing with the band As Tall As Lions, as well as Hayes Field.  This is going to be our last local show for the rest of the year so you should definately try and catch it.  Hope to see some of you there, we wont disappoint (unless you are into Celine Dion cover songs, then we will disappoint)

So here's what's been happening with Idle Revolution as of late.  School has taken up a lot of our time, but that hasn't stopped us from cranking out three new songs.  We have been working hard to get these new songs down and will have them premiered as we see fit.  Also, we are trying to set up some shows at some bars in town (unfortunately Fishlips owner Kipp isn't going to allow us to play on our own, we'd need another Bakotopia event or something to the same effect), so if you know of a place we'd get some good response and can actually get into, let us know.  Oh, and also also, we've got stickers now, so next time you catch one of our shows be sure to pick one up.  Thats it for now, but stay tuned for some awesome new music coming soon.

So I feel its necessary to update as I haven't in a while.   We are currently trying to raise funds for a tour next summer.  The current funds needed are $5000.  Shouldn't be too hard right?  Anyways, we're trying to get some stuff rolling.  We keep getting very positive feedback and hopefully it will elicit more interest later on.  We're currently waiting to hear back from a band we played a show with back in July.  They were very impressed with us and pledged to get us in touch with their manager and booking agent.  We'll see if they follow through once theyre off tour in September.  Same goes for some shows up north (Sacramento) and some LA gigs through other people who were equally as impressed.  Honestly though, we are just trying to move it all ourselves because we're learning more and more that people can talk a lot of good and never follow through (we should have had Fresno parties and some Livermore shows by now we the spoken word to be taken legitimately.  We are also hoping to re-record some songs as I feel that they dont express our true energy.  Or maybe they do, and I'm just uber critical.  Whatever, ranting done.
