I'm going to see Manu Chao & Kinky tonight!
Rarely do ever get excited about going to a concert as I am today!!

I'm heading to LA to see one of my musical idols, Manu Chao, at the Shrine Auditorium in LA!

Manu Chao is an international singer living in Spain. The reason I say international, is because he sings in many different languages: Spanish, Italian, Arabic, French, English..

If you were around in the 80's or are up on Spanish alternative rock, you may know Manu Chao as the lead singer if Mano Negra. Mano Negra was a big music inspiration to my band, Mento Buru. Ska, reggae, latin styles, all thrown together....awesome stuff..

Opening the show is another great Latin electronic / rock band, Kinky. They hail from Monterey, Mexico. They're songs are always being used in TV shows and movies (Nip Tuck, MTV Cribs, etc..) Find them on iTunes and give them a listen!

This is a rare visit by Manu to the states, so if you got tickets, I'll see you there, if not..I'll have fun for you, of course!

Ahhhh yeah, I'm off...

I'm going to attempt to podcast from the Shrine for the Bakotunes Podcast, so we shall see!!!!

Check them out online!!(click on a name!)

The song in the player above is by Kinky!
