tashkajones - > Social Savant. -> Where have you been?
Where have you been?

Hey everybody!!!  Life can take some interesting turns sometimes doesn't it?  I finally graduated from CSUB last summer and have been living quite the blur.  Included in that blur is the almost complete lack of readily available Internet access.  Hmmmm.  Its taken some gettin' used to, but we manage.  Strange for me to say 'we' right?  So, here is my little update since I'm stranded in Houston for work training - which means inter webs!! Woot!!

With my graduation, a lot of things stumbled in the door unexpectedly and I haven't quite fully adjusted to my shiny new life.

I went from single, student, employee of 2,  hyper-socialite straight to college graduate girlfriend of Jason single job person with a new car.  Yet I still had the need to be the good doer and participated in Village Fest and Burn the Witch III.  Then it all started to fall apart.

I don't have the opportunity to be as social as I like or participate in events anymore.  I missed out on V-Day 09, and a couple of art shows and several concerts.  How did this happen?  How did it happen so fast?

Well, being a self supporting student for so long, I racked up a lot of bills.  Credit cards up the wazoo (however one might spell that).  So, I took the first good paying job I found.  That good paying job came with 12 hour rotating shifts.  Needless to say, I have a permanent sense of jet lag.  So, I am paying the bills but feel like so much is missing from my life now.

We go out from time to time, but typically miss all of the cool little things I enjoyed back in the day (like it was so long ago).  Like all of the holiday shenanigans and countless plays I have missed due to working almost every weekend.

So I am just living with my darling and working my butt off.  Not exactly the dream per se but better than things have been in a long time.

Another thing missing is the Internet.  Which is why I haven't been online in ages.  But, i am still here.  Just randomly.

But keep your eyes out.  You never know when I'll pop up online or at a local event.  All in all, we are still a very social couple.

Hope all is well for the rest of you!!!!

XOXO

You put your left foot in. You take your left foot out and you shake it all about. You'll be back in the land of jazz hands and spirit fingers before you know it! So glad to hear from you! I was thinking about you the other day. Honest I really did think of you.

Keep hard at it Lady! Cheers and kuddos to you!

I'm pretty sure that is the correct spelling of "wazoo" ... though in some cases, it  may also be found under "wahzoo."  LOL!

We miss you, but we're also happy for you've graduated ... and you found a good job!  It won't be this way forever.  And we'll always be happy to see you again, whenever you emerge!

What type of work are you doing? Anything related to your degree yet?

Congratulations, BTW. I'm very proud of you! (((HUGS)))! It was great hearing from you.

"Oh, there you are peter"....i know you have to know what movie i'm refrencing.  We have to go hang out soon or do lunch or something to catch up on all the hoopla that has been going on.  Give me a call & we can set something up.

I don't know if I've corresponded with you more than anyone lately but  we have spoke on several occasions.  But glad to hear all the stuff going on in your life. You sound like me in the not being seen  sense.  Glad you were able to stop and take a breather! We've missed you!

Sister Sister!!!  how are you???  I haven't talked to you in ages!  I miss you.

I miss you all.

Thanks bunches and buunches Twinkie!!  I'm kinda using my degree.  Moreso the chemistry than the Biology.  I work for Schlumberger - well services (oil wells) in the lab.  Weird right?  As I said, they pay good money.  I'm advancing quicker than the typical lab tech though, which is why I'm here.  I have technically been an employee since November.  It takes the normal tech a year to get to come to this class.  But when I get home I get to promote.  YAY.

LALA - I never reaalllyyyy know what you refering to when you say Peter.  hehe.  I love you though, and yes hangouts on the horizon.  As soon as I go back, we are going to Disneyland.  Wanna come?

Mr OK, I have talked to you a lot more lately.  The secret is myspace.  I can use myspace easily because it has myspace mobile.  My phone hates Bakotopia.  I know, I should throw it away right?  But Bakotopia doesn't have a phone friendly version (that I'm aware of anyhow).  So i can check and reply daily and with ease on the tele.
