Bakersfield's Blackboard Free Press is coming back into existence? What could this mean? Newspapers on every street corner? Media gunfights on Eye Street? It's like an old Honky Tonk rising from the dusty Central Valley topsoil, only this in the form of parchment.

In an email to N.L. Belardes titled, "Like a Phoenix", Richard Bramer has announced "The Blackboard will rise again!!"

And he's looking for people who want to help...

Alexander Litvinenko, ex-Russian spy gets radiated, possibly at a U.K. sushi bar. Could such spy wars happen in Bakersfield? What about the recent arrest of the Yemenis at Cigarette World in Bakersfield? Are the spies already here? A professor once told me that the equivalent of the Chinese secret service used to creep around the CSUB campus... What are your thoughts?

I was amazed by the pics in the Daily Mail news today out of the U.K.: gestating critters.

I wonder what such pics will do for the anti-abortion argument: If animals in the womb are precious, are then humans? Interesting topic.

I think this blog is going to be a more personal blog... me just whining about too much work and too little time. I'm working on a few blog posts for my Paperback Writer blog. Three book reviews: Punk Shui, Drugs are Nice, and Born on a Rottenday/Love on a Rotten Day... I've been reading so much lately that I'm behind on my reviews. What are you reading? I just started The Innocent Man by John Grisham...
