Every time I read a blog or a bulletin about someone working or going to work...its "oh no" "this sucks" "fuck work"....and i know I have a day like that every once in a while.....but for the most part, I love to work. I love working.....maybe I'm just weird...or maybe thats My Mexican half busting through....or maybe that the last couple of jobs I've had are pretty good office / desk jobs.

I often wonder how it is that I come up with good jobs......and I think its a matter of motivation. I love my job AND working..therefore I look forward to going to work in the mornings, which in turn makes the day go by a lot quicker and painlessly. I just wish it was like that for some of my peers.

To all those who hate their jobs...any job that you have, no matter what the job is what it pays...is a good living. Its decent and honest. Other people beg on the streets for change, collect welfare, sell drugs, or leech off of parents....at least you work for your money.

Kudos

Alright although i do comend you on your "WORK FOR WHAT YOU WANT& quot; attitude because i am the same. I work for everything and i dont believe in welfare, etc etc. but i have to ask,

what does your being 1/2 mexican have to do anything?

I think some people just like to complain no matter how good they have it.

im sorry...i just meant that Mexicans are hard working and have a very strong work ethic.

oh...and I wanted to make it clear. I do believe that we have the welfare system for good reason. I just dont see any reason that I would consider a "good" reason for a perfectly healthy and able 20 something to be collecting, instead of working...

Dag burn it!  I see them all the time at certain street corners about town and any other town or city I go to.  That's right, healthy people with two arms, two legs and appearing to be in good health but looking down and out.  Well, if they can stand at a street corner with a sign for hours, then they must be in great health, cause I certainly couldn't do it.  Those people I'm talking about are those with signs that read, "Hungry veteran, please help", "Need gas and food, will accept anything".  It upsets me that they would take advantage of hard working good hearted people by taking their money.  I sometimes tell them, "My son has to work for his dollar.  Why don't you go find a job?"

I was driving to L.A. years back and would exit the same driveway at different hours.  At the bottom of the ramp, I would see a grocery cart very neatly decorated with signs asking for money.  Everytime I came to this ramp, I would see someone different asking for a handout.  I realized that this was a job and the beggers were working in shifts.  I saw a documentary once where these healthy people were making up to a thousand dollars a day.  I couldn't believe it but it's true.  I've seen bulges of money in some beggers pockets and I've actually seen one or two pull out their wad of money and neatly wrap another dollar bill that they just earned by looking sad, broke and hungry!

And it never fails when I pull into the Arco at California and Oak.  Someone always comes up to me and asks for some change for gas because they ran out and need to get back to Sacramento or Stockton.  How much gas will they get for a quarter?  Just the other day, this guy just stood behind me as I ignored him and finally told him to go away.  He walked across the street.  Where was his car?  No car, he had a bicycle stashed across the street jumped on it and drove south.  What a Scam!!  Get a Job!

now we are getting into a different subject.  You think you are the only one who gives in that relationship? nope. They give thier man power and time for us to have the freashest veggies. They also work and pay taxes, but never get a return

posted by AnnieLWhite on Aug 13, 2008 at 12:20 PM

THEY NEVER GET A RETURN!!!!!!   no they get someone else return under the stolen SS# they have. THEY GET MANY "ret urns" schooling, free lunches for their kids, medi-cal, wic........ oh brother. there are MANY "returns"

Zero, im not following you really. You arent making much sense. can you elaborate on what relationship  you are tlkain about is & what is freashest?

Zero, you shouldn't have felt the need to apoligize for what you meant about 'it being your 1/2 mexican side'.

BTW cute baby!

posted by AnnieLWhite on Aug 13, 2008 at 02:30 PM

If i said "well thats cause you are mexican" would i have to appoligize? seriously would that offend you? If so you get my point.

In this situation, no not at all. If it was towards something negative, yes. That's why I told Zero he shouldn't have felt the need to apoligize ...DUH!

Typical immigrant bashing. Yuck.

You know, there are legal immigrants coming into America, working with energy companies who are making record profits off raised energy and oil rates. Why not pick on the wealthy ones? And don't forget American citizens who also work for the huge energy companies and who are raping people of their paychecks.

Picking on undocumented aliens is just plain silly. I'm perfectly happy that my Mexican brethren are in America, especially the undocumented ones who are hard-working.

I mean think about it. America gets rid of undocumented hard working people and instead happily keeps all the greedy bastards at the top who make it practically impossible to run an air conditioner in the summer and pay for gas to take road trips?

I say we start protesting the energy companies and those Americans and foreigners working for them who are getting billions and buying luxurious penthouses in Dubai!

I'll happily keep the hard-working poor and undocumented.

Viva la Mexico! Viva la Honduras, El Salvador, Guatamala...!

I posted earlier then a Yokut Ghostie ate my postie..

basically what I was gonna is that if I tell Annie, "It's because you're white!" and she got offended by it then it would require an apology from me.

But if she said, "It's because I'm white, isn't it?" then she wouldn't have to apologize for saying it, because she's saying about herself.

Just like if I said, "I am such an idiot" .. obviously I wouldn't have to apologize for saying it because it's about myself.

But if Annie said, "Gosh, Twinkie, you are such an idiot" and I was offended by it, then it would aslo warrant an apology.

See the difference?

I know you didn't Mattie Pie. .. actually I think I didn't verify myself as a human and so my comment didn't get posted.

While bakotopia.com doesn't have anything against legal or illegal immigrants, aparently it does discriminate against  automated spammers and possibly even aliens who are non humans. ahahaha
