Attention Bluegrass music fans -
As most of you know, the SuperGrass festival will not be held in 2008. However, a Bluegrass jamming group from Northern CA thought it would be a great idea to keep the spirit of SuperGrass alive by booking a block of rooms at the downtown Holiday Inn around the same time frame and holding an informal (mostly) gathering of pickers from around California. They have booked the weekend of January 18,19, 2008 and so far have sold out the entire 2nd floor (and more) to folks that want to come to Bakersfield and have an entire weekend of non-stop pickin' and grinnin'. Jamming will be going on in the sleeping rooms on the 2nd floor as well as in several of the conference rooms being made available for the event by the hotel.
