It’s Rainin’ at my favorite Honky Tonk words and music by Dr BLT © 2008 I got the call from Rockwell earlier today he told me that his friend had passed away big dark clouds surrounded my favorite honky tonk tears fell down just like a heavy rain it’s rainin’ at my favorite honky tonk the place where they play my favorite songs tears are flowin’ down the street now that this great man is gone it’s rainin’ at my favorite honky tonk I heard he kept the place alive I heard he made it move a pillar of this great community I didn’t have the pleasure of getting close to him but I saw the clouds of joy and pain you see (chorus) I don’t know, dear Lord why you gave me this song I didn’t know him until he was gone I guess it’s just to say to all my friends at Trout’s today that I feel their rain at my favorite honky tonk (chorus)
