 I was the same way a few years ago, I did something about it.  my family has an anual family reunion and I've been going to it for the last 4 years,..now it's been going on for 30 plus years. I love to meet people and get to know them, life is way to short and you want to at least know as many of your family members as you can. I't s like they are a value to you as a person but you learn about yourself too. Go, get to know those distant family members, i bet they are very special, and wonderful to get to know.
