I would think you might take them to Alanon or AA. In my day we didn't even have marijuana. I really don't know what "gas " is. Paint? Hair spray? Air Freshener? The only thing we had was beer, and we drank that, not to alter anything, but to get silly, laugh and have fun. And maybe chase girls.
