Bakersfield roots run far and deep. If you’ve moved away, chances are you'll be back whether you want to or not, and if you go you’ll be taking a piece of Bakersfield with you. Guitarist JR Goldman is no exception. Though he now lives in LaVerne, it was with warm affection that Goldman spoke of Bakersfield and of KORN. Goldman’s time spent in Bakersfield - about 20 years - spurred his own musical career both on and off the stage.  As a performer, Goldman started playing clubs at age 14 with The Hit Men. At 17, Goldman opened for Stryper at the Bakersfield Civic Auditorium with his band Forced Entry. He went on to work with many influential producers and play with Tower of Power, Eddie Money, Monty Byrom and more.
